This is Not Holy War but Fitnah (discord).

(Interview with the reverend Sheikh Said Efendi from
Chirkeya.)

Today in Daghestan and on its boundaries there is a
very tense situation. The misfortune has come upon us
which our teachers and scholars warned us about more
than ten years ago. They used to explain to us with
great frequency about this misfortune, the misfortune
of Wahhabism.

Here in Daghestan the Wahhabis have kindled the fire
of war. Tens of thousands of people have become
refugees after leaving their ancestral homes and
property.

Peoples’ property had been accumulated completely by
hard work. For several years some of the inhabitants
of the villages of Karamakhi, Chabanmakhi, Kadar and
others had been digging graves for themselves; because
of this their villages were converted into ruins.

Fierce fighting also broke out in the Novolakski
region. During these difficult days, the media in
Turkey were quick to report that the Chechens had
declared a holy war against unbelievers in Daghestan,
and the people of Daghestan, they said, had risen
against these "champions for pure Islam". It so
happens that ethnic Daghestanis living in Turkey even
collect money to send to these bandits.

We asked the reverend Shaikh Said, from Chirkeya (may
he bestow his blessings [barakat] and intercession
[shafa’at] on us!) to describe the actual state of
affairs in Daghestan and to give us a reliable
appraisal of these events.

- Reverend Said Efendi, it seems that the news has
spread in Turkey that the Chechens have declared a
"holy war" in Daghestan, and the people of Daghestan,
it is said, it were opposed to this. What can you say
regarding this?

- Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim. La haula wa la quwwata
illa billah. Wallahi, my son, when these bandits
broke into the Botlikh and Tsumadin regions, a number
of different journalists came to see me, but I did not
agree to speak with them, I just told them:"I warned
you so many times before about the impending danger,
but now that the very thing I was warning you about
has come to pass, well what can I say to you?” I said
this to them and then sent them away.

Actually more than ten years have passed by since that
system started to collapse, yet there are still nobody
warning the people about the danger. Neither rulers,
nor hakims (governors) nor a dispute between the
followers of Tariqat and the Wahhabis. But now, when
everyone can see with their own eyes how true our
forecasts were, it is still necessary to speak. Didn’t
we see hoe Raduyev, with a bandage on the headdress on
which was written "la ilaha illallah!" –took over the
maternity hospital in the town of Kizlyara with his
armed bandits?

- Just think, would it be possible for true Muslims to
try to save their own lives by hiding behind pregnant
women? In actual fact, those who go out to follow the
way of holy war against unbelievers must protect other
people, while giving his life for Islam if it is
required. A Mujahid (Holy Warrior) must, without a
moment's hesitation sacrifice his life for Islam, and
should not be caught hiding behind the backs of women
with suckling babies in their hands!

But since we are speaking about Islam, where today can
you find such a pure Islam as in Daghestan? In Turkey
today there is no Islam as pure as in Daghestan! Maybe
people don’t realize that in Daghestan there is
complete freedom and possibilities for propagating
true Islam? We have also seen the situation in Arabian
countries, they are far from us. I asked one man who
came from Jordan, why he had returned after abandoning
his studies. He replied to me that Islam there is not
as pure as it is in Daghestan. There is a man from
from Chirkeya too, who is studying in Egypt; When I
asked him what there matters, answered: "Glory be to
Alllah, that before I left for Egypt, my native land
had passed on to me the alphabet of Islam and mede me
understand its real significance, otherwise I surely
would have been lost".

Therefore no one anywhere has a purer form of Islam
than we, and we have the Shariat, Tariqat, Islam, and
true Muslims.

- Said Efendi, some of the media, especially the radio
and television, call these misfortunes that these
bandits have brought about “Islamic Extremism.

- The expression "Islamic extremism" is in itself
incorrect. It would be possible to change it into
"anti-Islamic extremism". In reality these people
essentially speak against Islam. But some do not
understand this, just think yourself: they burst into
the Botlikh region. Listen, is it really necessary to
wage a holy war against unbelievers in the villages,
where adhan is called five times a day, and Muslims
pray to Allah Most High five times a day? Had they
wanted to declare a “holy war”, wouldn’t they have
declared it against the unbelievers that border on
them?

- The hardest thing of all for me is to see how some
people are using Islam as a cover to wage war against
Islam. Today surely the people when given an
explanation will understand their dirty thoughts and
intentions for themselves. Now there is no need to
explain this to the people to the authorities. The
Wahhabis are fighting against Islam and that means
that they are assisting the enemies of Islam.

Just think about it, for seventy years they forbade us
from performing Namaz. but now you can ask anyone if
it is forbidden for him. Is it forbidden for someone
to pray, to observe the fast? Every year 13-15
thousand Daghestanis perform Hajj in Saudi Arabia.
Whereas in their Russia not even an third od this
number of people perform the Hajj. Therefore that
which is now being done against us is a fitnah, and
not a holy war against unbelievers. I think that the
people have already understood who such people are,
but anyone who does not understand right now, he will,
inshallah, still catch up.

Probably, there is some maslihat (some hidden wisdom
or benefit) in all this, even if Russian leaders,
inshallah, have understood, who such Wahhabis are ;
they are catching up abroad too.

Reverend Said Efendi, many of those people are calling
for Daghestan to secede from Russia, reasoning that
many of our misfortunes come about because we are a
part of Russia. What could you say in regard to this?

It surprises me that some people nevertheless call for
secession from Russia. Actually not the least benefit
would be gained for Islam, for the people or for the
republic by doing this. In my opinion according to the
Shariat it is not possible to behave poorly towards a
neighbour, and is Russia not in fact our neighbour?

Neighbours may be in the same house, down the same
street, in the same village, and in the same country.
Whether bad or good, a neighbor is a neighbour.

I do not understand the reason for declaring
friendship with America, which is located beyond the
ocean, after quarrelling with one’s close neighbour.
Perhaps these bandits and extremists can benefit from
this, but for simple people and for Islam there is no
benefit whatsoever.

What benefit did the Chechens get from their
independence from Russia? People from Chechnya come to
me, and suggest that the poition in Chechnya is worse
now than it was during the deportations enforced by
Stalin. One person, who came to me from Chechnya,
related that his two sons, who became Wahhabis tried
to poison him twice because he did not follow their
path. "But by the will of Almighty Allah, it was not
ordained for me to die", he said.

- Are such things really possible? – I asked him.

He said that it is young children that they win over
to their side, the Wahhabis convince them that old men
are not necessary, and they must die. They often
charge us with the fact that we can’t escape the fact
that the USA they bombed Iraq with the taciturn
agreement of adjacent states. But why did they
themselves remain silent? Because they have their own
policy, their own national interests and affairs.

But when war broke out in Chechnya, we gave every
possible peaceful assistance; we sheltered them, fed
them and gave them a roof over their heads. The
Americans though carried out bombing raids on Iraq
from Turkish territory. So why did the Turks allow
them to do this from their territory?

And similarly during the war between Iraq and Kuwait
Saudi Arabia conducted its own policy. Why?

And yet they suggest to us that we should separate
from Russia. Only the owner of a house knows what the
true situation in his house is.

- Said Efendi, these bandits call the aggression that
they conduct in Daghestan a "holy war against
unbelievers"... How can one call these misfortunes and
fitnah a holy war against unbelievers?

It is mentioned in the Qur’an and Hadiths, and related
by many ‘alims (scholars) that there cannot be any
more holy war until the coming of the Mahdi and ‘Isa (
A.S..) There cannot be a holy war against unbelievers,
there will be only fitnah. Wherever light ends fitnah
appears. It is also said in the books that frequently
occurring earthquakes and wars flaring up, these are
signs that the light will soon end. And these signs
have appeared today.

Holy war against unbelievers is done for the sake of
Islam. If today they begin to prevent us worshipping
in the mosques and madrassahs (religious schools), and
they prevent us from performing our Hajj, then if we
go out with the intention of fighting them, that could
be called a war against the unbelievers.

But what war do we need to declare against
unbelievers, when in Daghestan more than three
thousand functioning mosques have been established,
and madrassahs and Islamic institutes have been opened
in each city and in many villages; fifteen thousand
Daghestanis perform the Hajj every year and our
children have begun to study in (Islamic) institutions
in many foreign countries.

People are making this present fitnah, covering it up
with the phrase ‘holy war against unbelievers’, but it
is not a holy war against unbelievers.

Dear Brothers:

                                    Assalammu Alaikum Wr Wb

It is really disheartening to read these lines from the above posting:

One person, who came to me from Chechnya, related that his two sons, who became wahhabees tried to poison him twice because he did not follow their path." But by the will of Almighty Allah, it was not ordained for me to die", he said.

Not satisfied with the killings world wide, Wahhabbies have started killing even inside their own family members, more worse one's own father. In one incident that took place recently in Southern India, the Wahabbies had killed a Moulvi inside the Mosque, just because he refused to follow their way of Wahhabbism.

Wahhabbies are not only the enemies of Non-beleivers, but also the enemies of Islam. Sunnathul wal Jamath must think of some concrete actions against these wahhabbies. Members of Yanabi.com should come out with their own advices on this urgent matter.
