shaz WRITES "Three things in life that, once gone, never come back -
Time
Words
Opportunity

Three things in life that may never be lost -
Peace
Hope
Honesty

Three things in life that are most valuable -
Love
Self-confidence
Family

Three things in life that are never certain -
Dreams
Success
Fortune

Three things that make a man -
Hard work
Sincerity
Commitment

Three things in life that can destroy a man -
Alcohol/Drugs
Pride
Anger

Three things that are truly constant -
Allah Azwajal
Islam
Muhammad
I ask  Allah to bless you, as I pray for you today;
to guide you and protect you, as you go along your way.
His love is always with you, His promises are true.
And when you give Him all your cares, you know He'll see you through.
Pass this along to People you want Allah to Bless - I just did!
"

I had no knowledge of bowing (Ruku). What did I know about prostration? Was I in search of your footprints or was I prostrating in prayer..Strange is my life and my servitude

Wherever I found your footprints I made it my direction

Poetry: My Dad

mohammed WRITES "

My Dad
I have got a very nice dad
A dad that is never bad.
He is very cool
Because sometimes he lets me brake rules.
I like my dad very much
No one has a dad as such!

Poetry: I Love Islam

angel-fatima WRITES "

assalamalaykum
I love Islam,
It's the right way.
I have Iman,
I pray 5 times a day.
I learn the quran,
And that's what I pray!

Poetry: O Mummy Dear

Faiza WRITES

O Mummy dear, O mummy dear,
why do trees bow in the wind?
My darling child, my darling child,
they bow in obedience to Him.

O Mummy dear, O mummy dear,
how many leaves grow upon trees?
My darling child, my darling child,
Allah alone knows the number of these.

O Mummy dear, O mummy dear,
who should I love best?
My darling child, my darling child,
it's Allah and His Prophet the kind, the blessed.

Poetry: My Greatest Need Is YOU

Faiza WRITES "
My Greatest Need is You
Your hope in my heart is the rarest treasure
Your Name on my tongue is the sweetest word
My choicest hours
Are the hours I spend with You --
O Allah, I can't live in this world
Without remembering You--
How can I endure the next world
Without seeing Your face?
I am a stranger in Your country
And lonely among Your worshippers:
This is the substance of my complaint.

Poetry: The Five Pillars of Islam

The Five Pillars of Islam

Allah is One and like no one,
He has no partner, nor a son,
He is Kind and Just and Wise,
And has no form, shape or size.

His final Messenger to all of us,
Did so much without a fuss,
Muhammad is his blessed name,
As mercy to the worlds He came.

Five times a day we make Salah,
That's when we bow down to Allah,
We ask for guidance when we pray,
And this we do every single day.

We have to share with those in need,
And not give in to thoughts of greed,
Zakah then helps us in this way,
Lest we should err and go astray.

In the month of Ramadan we must fast,
From the first day to the last,
When food and drink we put aside,
By fasting rules we then abide.

And all those who can afford,
Seek the pleasure of their Lord,
They perform their Hajj you know,
When to Makkah the pilgrims go.

Poetry: I Am A Little Muslimah

angel-fatima WRITES "

Assulamulakum!
Im a little muslimah,
I wear my hijaab,
 And I look so smart!
I go to school

And madressah.
I learn to  read and write,
And learn about Islam.
I listen to my teachers,
And I obey my parents,
So, I'll get to Jannah!

  ALLAH IS 1

Allaah is the One true God
Truly He’s just One
He has no partner and no wife
And Allaah has no son!

Allaah is the One true God
He always hears us call
So we must only pray to Allaah
No one else at all!

Allaah is the One true God
He’s our Lord and King
So everyone believe in Allaah!
Worship none but Him!

eyes & ears

Allaah gave me my two eyes

And He gave me ears
With my eyes I see the world
With my ears I hear.

So I thank Allaah for this
So much He's given me!
I will try with them inshaa Allaah
Good things - hear and see!

YUMMY IN MY TUMMY

Lots of food for us to taste

They are blessings so don't waste!
Allaah gives us all food good
So eat it up we should!

I thank Allaah for all His favours
Food and drink with many flavours!
Meat and fruit and sweets, all yummy
All things nice for our small tummy!

 DUAA

WHEN YOU FINISH EATING:

Alhamdulillaah-hilladhee at’amanee haadhaa warazaqaneehi min ghayri hawlimminnee wala quwwa

This du’aa means: All Praise is for Allaah who fed me this and provided it for me without any might nor power from myself. [Aboo Daawood and others]

FASTING TUMMY

O my tummy! Do not eat!

Be strong this day on your feet!
Leave your drink and leave your meal
And think of how the hungry feel!

O my tummy! Take no drink!
Keep a fast, for others think
Not a drop will reach their lips
Though before you water drips.

We must help the hungry, poor
Give them food and things much more
When we all fast then indeed
We think of those in need!

DUAA

WHEN YOU BREAK YOUR FAST:

Allaah-humma innee as-aluka birahmatikkatee wasi’at kulla shay-in an-taghfiralee

This du’aa means: O Allaah, I ask You by Your mercy which envelopes all things, that You forgive me. [Ibn Maajah]

ONE ISLAMIC FAMILY 'YA NABI'

Black or white, brown or yellow

We are sisters, brothers
All the Muslims come together
And we love each other.

Colour does not matter to us
Side by side we stand
Ready to give all our help
With a caring hand.

Rich or poor, young or old
All of us unite
One Islaamic family we are
Under Allaah's Sight!

I Love Allaah Most of All!

by Ayesha bint Mahmood

I love my father

I love my brother

I love my sister

I love my mother

I love the stars

I love the sun

I love the moon

I love each one!

I love the snow

I love the trees

I love the birds

I love the bees

I love the mountains

I love the fish

I love the animals

I love all this!

I love the water

I love the sea

I love the hills

I love the stream

I love the rose

I love the flowers

I love the plants

I love the showers

I love the raindrop

I love the leaves

I love the seasons

I love the breeze

I love the rivers

I love the waterfall

I love good people

I love them all

But the One I love

Most, you see

Is Him Who gave

All this to me

He made all things

He gave them all

So I love Allaah

Most of all!

Remembering Allaah Throughout the Year

Before summertime, the cherry blossom looks like pink icing
The ground beneath shoots updaffodils
Trumpeting their praises to Allaah (Subhanahu wa ta’ala)

During summer the days are long and hot
The trees are green and shady.
Flowers bloom bright and perfumed
Bees hover and drive for pollen.

Before wintertime, Allaah paints the leaves red, orange, and gold.
They cover the springy moss with a colorful carpet.
Squirrels scurry, choosing the juiciest nuts to store for their winter larder.

In winter Allaah causes the earth to die hard and cold
Holding seeds dormant deep in its darkness.
He permits water to form stalactites and fossilise animal bones
Reminding us that He is the One who brings back to life His creation...

Adapted from a poem by,
Nadia (at age 9)
