I have heard what you have said about how shameful it is of coutries that have high prostitution rates and how their populace hates the hijab etc. I am a muslim but i am trying to find my self and am trying to seek the truth bercause i know islam is the religon to be followed, i am just trying to make my faith alot stronger.
Now isn't it true that allah put us on this world as a test to see who is a believer and who isn't. to give us a chance to prove ourselves worthy to enter heaven? A country should not force the populace to wear hijab because is that not an act women should do because they feel spiritual enough and religous enough that they are able to do it? If we force people to wear hijab that destroys the whole purpose of it. We should do things in islam and follow the rules not just phyisically but mentally and spiritually as well.the islamic coutires should ban prostitution, alcohol and acts of indecency, but should not force people to wear hijab or pray or things of that nature. We must preach and hope the person gets the message and becomes a true believer. Maybe i am naive because i am young, but this is what i have aquired about islam and that is my perception of how things should be.

I am glad that you are pursuing an interest in islam and hope you question everything you find insufficient. In regards to the Hijab, it must be said it is fard (obligatory) just like fasting and praying and giving zakat. While these things are compulsory however muslims are no different to what they feel than others therefore at some times we may feel like not praying such as in the morning or not feel like following recommended acts like avoiding freemixing because it is not beneficial or is harmful socially.
But thats not the point. Women must cover not because they want to or dont want to but because they have to to be more observant muslims. Just like we all have to pray whether we are at school or work or home. It is in understanding why we must do such actions that we come to like it - and love it for through these actions we receive the rewards from our Creator.
Women feel forced to do it for a number of reasons, usually because it hasnt been explained properly why they must do and linked back to the rewards of such actions. This pretty much goes for every other recommended or obligatory action. Most people know they have to do it but dont as they dont know why.
I hope that helps. Feel free to ask more.

Dear Brothers,
Wearing Hijab and the rate of prostituion are diffenent topics, to be discussed seperately. Sticking to the point of Shaban Siddik, wearing hijab is an obligatory action for a girl to a woman in Islam. Nothing is obligatory in Islam, unless there is an endless denefit for the mankind: from namaz, fasting to zakat etc.
Just imagine the crime rates of (rape and prostitution etc.) between the countries which favours and against wearing hijab. Definately hijab is saving the Islamic countries from the rape and prostitution. Western countries hate wearing hijab just because they cannot persue the evil thinking upon the ladies. Islam is saving the mankind from decaying by such simple rules of wearing hijab for ladies.
