Punishment For Apostacy In Islam

What is the punishment for apostacy in Islam?

Is the punishment for any every apostate or simpl those that collaborate with enemy states inorder toweaken it?

No clear answer that apostasy=death, because the Quran doesn't explicitly say it while it does refer to it repeatedly and mention otherworldly punishments. Isn't that a clue to the answer, though...?

not really though.Although the Quran makes no specific mention of punishment for apostacy The hadith caterogically make a mention of killing those that leave their faith i.e. Islam. Doesnt that tell you something ?

This has been a tough one for me too. We can invite other people to leave their religion, but when they leave ours its a big crime ?


Also, Iblis became a apostate and he is allowed to have his free will till the day of judgement ?
