Alhamdullilah Ahlus Sunnah have announced there will be an official national protest demo taking place this Sunday 23rd September.

Details:

Demonstrate for Muhammad The Praised One!
- A call to denounce anti-Islam movie on YouTube


Date: Sunday 23rd September 2012
Venue: US Embassy, 24 Grosvenor Square, London
Time: 2PM till 4PM

Organised by MFAC (Muslim Forum Action Committee)
Supported by: All Ahlus Sunnah Jamaat’s of UK

Join the Muslims of UK in condemning and voicing their opinion against the Hatred of Muslims and Islam.

What you can do:

1. Email all your friends and family. Get the poster to as many people as you can

2. Speak to your local Masjid and organise a coach/es to attend the Demonstration

3. Text as many people as you can…. The whole World

4. Use the enemies tools against the enemy themselves…. Get on the Facebook and Youtube and tell everyone about your event.

When we are presented before Our Lord and our beloved Prophet PBUH we want to be able to hold our head high and say we tried……

It would be really shame, if the number of participants would be too small. I wish and pray that all wahabis, devbandi, shia and barilvi pirs, orignal pirs, faqirs, actual fakirs, molvis, mullahs and all their followers join this protest and if its not possible then lets not make a fool of ourselves.

Masha'Allah this is excellent! So happy to hear people coming together and actually doing something. May Allah reward all those involved and I pray for the resounding success of this protest. Can I ask everyone to put every effort possible in working for this event? This has to be a national effort and every person must take his duty as a soldier of RasoolAllah (peace be upon him). There are not many days left at all so people need to get working right away to organise people, coaches, banners and so on. Perhaps this thread is a good place to discuss your ideas and possibly have them approved. We do not want irresponsible banners giving the wrong message out.

Talking of responsibility we must ensure that the entire demonstration remains peaceful from start to finish. The point is to get our point across and express the offence we have felt with these insults, and that such films, cartoons or whatever are completely unacceptable. We want to show a united and strong voice, in solidarity with Muslims and all decent people across the world. We don't want a few irresponsible people giving the media the opportunity to discredit the entire demonstration because of the behaviour of a few. It's an excellent opportunity to show the true conduct of the Muslims and put out our sentiments to non-Muslims.

Demonstrating in marches like this is a pointless gesture -- didn't we do exactly the same during the Rushdie Affair? What was the outcome?

Even if the demonstration is peaceful and attended by 100, 000s (like Rushdie Affair) -- but I doubt--this demo will have no palpable effect apart from
exercising our right to protest (which is a good thing); 2 million marched against the Iraq War. Did it have any effect?

As for our non-Muslim citizens and countrymen knowing we are offended by this sick film -- it is clear to anyone who watches the news that we are!

What the media will do is spin this -- as intolerant Muslims who cannot integrate marching against freedom of expression in a fictional film. I know that's BS but that's
what the media will do. And if, as is inevitable, a small number of people become unruly and violent or start shouting out death threats etc or a maulvi sahib makes an
'inflammatory' speech the whole media coverage will forget about the 50 000 peaceful demonstrators and concentrate on the 50 idiots shouting ''Death to America! Death to Israel!
Death to the UK! Caliphate is coming!' etc. etc.

Sorry to be a party pooper but I thought our original leaflet ideas and writing academic refutations/making movies/ads was better.

What would be more effective is if every Muslim in the UK stopped using any Google-related products. Cancel your Android phone contracts or change to iPhone/Windows Phones/Symbian/RIM etc. If a brother who is on the Sunni channels sometimes
--for example brother QJ -- went on one of those chat programmes and said I urge all Muslims to no longer use Google search engine or their Android phones or Chrome etc. until they remove the video and a lot of Muslims responded to it the snowball
effect could be massive. Economic hurt is where we will win this battle to get the video removed.

Brother, this march is for something and not only against something!

SQ is making a valid point and I have been thinking like this for years but there is never a rule without exception. Now is the time to show that we love Him Sallallahu alayhi wa Alehi wa sallam.

The world must registers that those who Love Muhammad are far greater in number than those who hate Him.

I am currently in Saudi Arabia and i cannot come to thr march/ protest.

Oe thing i would like to stress and sugest is that there is a concerted efort to focus the event on a speech/ speeches at the end of the march. The march to civility was a diabolocal failure as it was poorly planned and had didnt culminate into anything. We matched for an hour and went to hyde park and then dissipated.


Please can the organisers plan this event properly to let English speing scholars tae the stage - plus whose gonna make sure it doesnt spuiral out of control?

I did not say do not go if you want to -- I merely pointed out that such marches are ineffectual and counterproductive. The same money and effort could be use in more effective ways.
It is not a zero sum game. Not going to the march does not make one less of a lover of the Prophet. I think democracy is a good thing but I think sometimes in my more cynical moments that the right to a peaceful demonstration is to just let the ruled let off steam and THINK they have done something whilst the Rulers do as they please. As for Allah's Prophet alayhisalam He know who loves him and who not.
When will we learn the pen (and in this era the media) is mightier than the sword? Why do we say 'how high? ' when they say 'jump!'
