I've never seen Shaykh so terse and rightly so!

"Rubbish - that is what will come to us without compassion for women... The measure of goodness is tied to the goodness to women"

Shakyh Syed Habib Ali al-Jifri

The Habaibs Shaykh Ali Jifri and Shaykh Umar always speak with passion and genuiness, that is what endears many to listen to them. Their words come from the heart and they tackle contemporary issues which need to be discussed within our societies but for some reason our local scholars drastically fail to do so. Even though, I understand his words through an interpreter his words revitalise my faith like very few of the mother tongued scholars can.

For me, the Habib when they speak make you realise more than others that Islam isn't about rituals alone but it's a religion for all aspects of life.

Wow SubhanAllah, amazing. I'm touched!

I've seen this video posted many places but only just found time to sit and view it, the passion in the blessed and beloved Sheikh Habib's voice is evident and makes one move. I'm in in deeper awe of this great man who wears a smile and Noor so elegantly. His language may not be English but it's far more profound that some English/Urdu speaking scholars.

I've worked with such women who have been forced to leave home due to certain conditions and have nothing, no one and not even a cloth they can call their own. It give me such pleasure to be able to help these woman to provide for their children, to support them with the basics, food, shelter and clothing and have given a new found appreciation for what I have in my life, for which I am eternally grateful for.

SubhanAllah

Sayyidina Shaykh Habib Ali al-Jifri

Its about time someone spoke up for women. In this day and age with all the confusion, women havent a clue as to how to behave when their suffering abuse, many of them are forced to taking their own lives astagfirullah.

There was a talk the Shaykh did just for women some time back when he had the tour, I didnt attend but I managed to get hold of the recording Alhamdulillah :D the Shaykh shared some amazing words of advice mashaAllah.

That is a very good and much needed talk by the Shaykh. This is what I like about liberal minded Muslim Shaykhs they are always protecting the rights of the vulnerable and the minority groups. This is also why I prefer Sufism as everywhere that I have gone for Zikr be it one sufi way or the other their kindness to women is humbling.

There must have been many embarrassed faces in the audience as references to cultural condemnation of Women is something we all practice. I like the statement of how a victim becomes the criminal just through wanting their right which is denied by the Religious representatives.
