Indeed an extraordinary yet awe-inspiring gesture by the Turkish PM [his wife, daughter and the FM .....Allaahu Akbar !]
PS.
Rana Bhai - I know you heart cries bro... but it is common knowledge within political circles that President Zardari, regardless of what one my say about him, was perhaps the first head of state - after the recent uprising in Myanmar, which unfortunately was in itself extremely late - to take 'formal' and 'on the record' action by sending a personal letter [students of politics know that a 'formal' letter from one HoS to another, though they are just 'words', are considered to be - and can at times be extremely - powerful 'actions'] to the President of Myanmar on August 6th. His letter was followed by the courageous announcement of the Turkish PM of sending his delegation, which I personally felt was the most powerful statement [though much more can be done] as of yet and should at least be followed by all. Saudi has followed with a $40 Million pledge a few days later.
May Allaah grace noble leaders upon us. We have made immoral actions our interests and our leaders sadly lack the ability to prove to us that they are sincerely interested in regaining the moral, and honorable respect that we as an Ummah once attained.....and today as people deserve.
'Ya Rasool Allaah we miss you....Alayhis'Salatu'ws'Salam [Naat, 'Intersession']
