Airport Welcome For Pirs/scholars what's the point of welcoming Pir/Scholars at the airports

I don't understand what's the point of welcoming Pir/Scholars at the airports. Why can't you welcome them in the Mosque or congregation venue instead of going to the airports?
What are your views on Pirs/Scholars airports arrival welcomed by their Mureeds and Fans?

I guess one would probably use the argument of when our RasoolAllah Sallala Hu Alahi Wa Salaam entered Medina? I'm just throwing that out there, I have no idea though

Rasool Allah a.s walked into Madina as a ruler. He had just been through 13 torrid years at the hands of his own people and as an orphan with no help he had overcome all obstacles to establish the law of allah as a state. There is no comparison with contemporary pir's jet set lifestyle between london and islamabad!

Last week I told two somali's (2 grown up men) in the Masjid to talk quietly - they were talking as if one another were deaf! to which I was accused of picking on Somalis as the week before that I said the same thing to a group of young somali children. Indirectly I was accused that I had a problem with Somali (coloured) people!!! I was taken back and looked at the guy in the eye I was lost for words.... Racism??? I don't think am a racist sort of a person but ALLAH Hu ALim! I scratched my head and thought of Mogadishu! Mogadishu, you may ask. Yes, Mogadishu where Somali is killing another Somali (wonder who's to blame there?)
Anyway back to to this interesting post - there is a hidden message can any one crack it?
Here is a clue!?! You will need to see yourself clearer and paste the hidden message Green....... and no I will not repeat myself, over and over again!!! Over and over again!!!

Well I'm pretty sure people will use that as a comparison. People don't even know what a Pir is for anymore. If a person stopped and thought about it for even 2 seconds I guarantee you they would be know what they are doing wrong. For example look at how a Pir eats, it will be completely different from ours. The way he chews it, swallows and all. how many times it was chewed before swallowing and etc. How water is drank, why he uses utensils instead of eating with his hands. There is all reason behind it.
People nowadays want to show off I am a mureed of Pir X and he has accomplished this and that. It's all B.S straight to the point where it makes no type of sense and the whole point of having a Pir goes to waste. What's the point of being a mureed if the mureed does not learn anything or look at his Shakyh for reason. It is suppose to bring him closer to Allah the highest not the Pir himself.
Imam Ghazzali Rahmatullah Alahi spent so much time writing his books about the importance. It's pretty much tossed to the side.
Today certain people are looked upon as the highest scholars of all time. Had the Muslims of today not been so blind they would see it's all a fake.

What I don't like is that the Purs do not say anything! It is as if they enjoy all this entourage waiting at Heathrow shouting Allah Hoo
scaring everyone in Terminal 3. (I eman they alreday think were terrorists! - And 40-50 bearded people shouting AllahuAkbar is not helping!).
I asked a Pir why dont you stop the people from doing this. it is ruinin gthe reputationa and image of the muslims. It makes Dawah more difficult.
His answer was, "My mureeds are rejoicing so i wont stop them".
When we have responses like this, how do we expect this charde to stop?

I think it's very simple, Robot Wars, sorry Pir Wars are just funny. The Mureeds (in most cases) just want to out-do their 'rival' Mureeds. The Pir either love it or don't want to 'upset' their Mureed by telling them to top. Pffffft!
I would almost put my life on it that if one Pir does something extravagant at Milad for example, the following year another 'group' will try their utmost to go one step further so they are now the talking point. What a joke?!
Just imagine you are a Non-Muslim, a bit skeptical of Muslims anyway and then you see 30-40 bearded folk waiting for their Pir to arrive then start shouting the 'Jihadi' Allahu Akbar! OMG! At an airport of all places? It's plain naivety and showing off not 'Istiqbaaliya' as some would say.
People just want to say I was there, did you see the Noor on Pir Sahib's face, I was blinded by it, I couldn't even look at them, it was sick innit bro, did you see the Gore looking at us? Our Pir is the best, so what if they don't know what we are so excited about, this is us showing our love for Allah and his Rasul (saw)... etc etc etc
I got a text from someone recently telling me what time a certain Pir Sahib was arriving, flight number etc
LOL

And He Sallaho Alhe Waslam made a hijrat for the sake of Allah unlike today's pir who only come for visits. These pir come here every year So whats the anticipation???
Same goes for naat khwans and may be even worse.I still don't understand why we rent naat khwans from Pakistan and listen to them during Rabi-awaal. If that's going to make their love stronger for our Prophet Sallaho Alhe Waslam? Are you kidding me????? People have made a business out of this and when I came to know this, I was shocked. Agents hire naat khawans, pay their tickets and then the agents take their commission and make profits..... Naat were supposed to be recited in love for rasolallah sallaho ahle waslam but its for money these days...
I had enough!!!!

If it is to do dawah that the pirs go abroad from Pakistan -- how come you never hear of them going to poor countries only the EU, UK and USA/Canada etc.?!

The way i see this is that it depends on people attention and whats in their heart, some people love their shiekhs and their cant wait for them to come home, so they go visit them at the airport. what is wrong with that?
When somebody parent come from umra or from holiday, most of time, the family take a full packed car, and the reason is that they really love their parents and want to recieve them.
So same with someone recieving their shiekh from airport. And we have to understand their are many different families who are bayt to the shiekh, so they all want to go.
But their are ofcourse bad people too, who prob go visit to make noise and big up their shiekh, and that is wrong, but still we have to understand that their are good people out their too and who deeply love their shiekh and want to see them asap. so fair enough, go airport and recieve them as a show of honour.

i wouldnt say 99% pir are fraud but yea there are alot of em out there who CLAIM to be pir, but in reality they are not, but its our fault that we go to them, why dont we go to the pir/shiekh who is a religious pir, most people want to go to a dodgy pir, and thats wt they get. and its not just pir who are fraud, many molvis are fraud too, and recieve foreign funding to fund their channels and madaris.
May Allah Swt bless us so we can find the true awliya

Ive got a Shaikh and I think he's the greatest man in the world but I dont try and let the world know this by announcing it at an airport. Its an opinion I keep to myself. When he arrives back from abroad, loadsa my pear pies go to the airport to greet him and shout naras at the top of thier voices making total and utter fools of themselves. In fact they do the same when he leaves his house to go Jummah, disturbing the neighbours in the process. I really love my Pir Sahib but I think he should do more to crak down on the hooligan like behaviour from some of the Mureeds.

What the topic is referring to is: the hooligan like behavior displayed by certain brand of mureeds who would treat a shaikh like somesort of a sport-star returning from away match rather then respecting his knowledge. Empty vessels even with a shaikh as their guider. This behavior is counter-productive and NOT very good for the image of shaykh. Especially for an outsider who'd think nothing more of such personality then thousands of other fruads.

bro hanafiuk - once again you misunderstand what i write! The whole sentence was that rasool allah a.s walked into madina as a ruler - the emphasis was on the ruler bit - it is very unfortunate that you emphasise the walking bit - that had nothing to do with it was a figure of speech. Im sure you agree rasool allah a.s entering madina as a ruler is a momentous occasion not just in muslim but human history and it has no comparison with a pir saab coming back from his holiday. That was all and its not a complaint that i had i just simply emphasised that both events are totally different and do not deserve to be compared. Please do continue to love your sheikhs/pir's/scholars/mujtahids but dont compare their entry to the master of men.

Yea true, the kind of behaviour you are talking about is ridiculous, i think the title makes it out that the topic is for drilling all the pirs etc so that is why i stated their are good Pir and Mureeds and their are bad. So we gota respect the good and tell the bad to stop thier behaviour. The problem i find with these kind of posts is that what would a youth think when he/she visits yanabi.com. We should be more specific and explain more (like you done so)

Okay to be honest with you, i am kinda confused with your reply and i think you misunderstood what i wrote because i was refering to your comment on the Pir coming on the Jet bit not on our Prophet Pbuh Coming walking to Medina, that is why i said how shal the Pir come, walking?, because these days the jet are means of transport. (by the way I was just trying to say it in a friendly way, this is why i put a lol on)
Yes ofcourse i agree with you that we cant compare the event of Prophet Pbuh to any Sheikh but it is acceptable in Islam to collect them from airport, so i dont see any reason we should be criticing that (saying it generally), unless they cause trouble, make noise. This again comes on to which pir it is and what kind of mureeds are they aS thieR Are gOOd peoPLE And bad. ANd since the bRotHer explained were TalkING about the craZy guys who just make too much noise, but i think title should be changed, as to be it feels like its cRiticIsing EVEryone.
I seen some people come from pakistan, and 2 car full of people go collect them, they just be too exciTed to see them, so this iS Why am thInking, am sure The mureeds just Die to see their shIekh aNd they go Airport to collect.

How people do comparisons pirs are ordinary peoples so you cant think how people welcome Rasool Allah saw the pirs deserve as well.
