From 2013 or so you will be able to take a trip into sub-orbital space on the Virgin Galactic SpaceShipTwo -- if you can pay $200, 000 for a ticket (hurry! They've already sold over 400 tickets...)

By 2020 trips into space will become routine (and cheaper) including space hotels...followed not long after 2030 by a manned Mars mission...

Where are the Muslims in all this?
If the UAE can fund Palm Island projects and the Burj al Khalifa (built by non-Arabs/Muslims!) worth many billions surely we can fund a
joint Muslim space programme?

I mean if we can has a NASA and an ESA why not an ISA (Islamic Space Agency)?
