Hmmm I was just thinking.....I love writing lyrics (mainly rap) about Islam and the world and everything that is happening. All good and thought provoking stuff. Should I get out there and start getting my lyrics out and make a difference?? Well try to! It's more for the muslim youth really

Asalaamu Alaikum, sister may Allah reward you for trying to make a difference but the voice of a women is awrah meaning that she should not sing or display her voice in such a way that other men will listen to it. On top of that the majority of scholars from the past 1400 years state that musical instruments are forbidden and so if the rap will consist of your voice and music then both are totally forbidden and so instead of reward you will get major sin. So it is better for you to produce poetry as rap is a type of poetry and publish it online etc. Hope that helps.

JazakAllah Khair for your thoughts. I know instruments are not allowed I was only planning on using my voice and maybe drum but nothing else but I did not know that women can't use their voice in a way that men can hear it. I will try and find out more about that.

He’s always been there every step of the way
Since we were born till the end of our days
I pray for my mistakes to be forgiven everyday
Don't let Shaytan control your mind don't let him lead the way
God guides us all keeps us on the right track
Even when we do wrong he has still got our back
They carry on fighting just like the war in Iraq
Leaving many more innocent in shock after attack
In the eyes of God we are never disbelieving
He will always be there he won’t ever be leaving
He watches everything he even knows when you’re stealing
Even young ones on the corner who are smoking and dealing
Most sisters in the world are the victims of raping
The young brothers are taken
The media still taping
The non believers still hating
Like Sub-Zero we will always be in Kombat
You will never hear them say it wasn’t Muslims who bombed that
They gotta find shelter every time they hear a bomb blast
They look up in the sky wondering how long this war will last
I don't know about you but it’s time we all make a change
Make the world a safer place for the next generation don't let it be the same
We don't need the racial comments every time they see a plane
We need to make this change because things will get insane

The social commentaries are all good, I liked them, but personally I don't like it when God is spoken of in rap. His magnificence is befitting of the most eloquent prose and high parlance at all times; anything less is crass.
I'm open to persuasion otherwise.

I appreciate your comment JazakAllah Khair. Like insaid before I want to make a difference and get through the Muslim youth so if I don't mention God they won't get the message so if I mention God they will remember him. But I know what you mean about what you said.
