Geo TV's flagship programme interviewed Hazrat Pir Shah Abdul Haq Gillani sahib who (I think) are the youngest grandson
of Huzoor Pir Sayyid Mihr Ali Shah rahmatullah alayhi...and are themselves quite old and frail now...

In 3 parts. The questioner asks questions in Urdu but Hazrat Shah Sahib speaks only in Punjabi. (with Urdu subtitles).

Subhanallah, a person can give a speech for a couple of hours and it may not have the same effect as listening to a few words from a wali e kamil. The simplicity, humbleness and manner in which the blessed syed answered the questions about tawiz and jinns etc is a glimpse into their love for Allah and the Prophet (s.a.w)

One cannot help but feel at peace when sitting at their feet and to look at their face is ibadat. This is the rank of someone who has done bait on the hand of Alahadrat Pir Meher Ali Shah, who gave them their name and whose hand is over them always. The prince and son of Gaus e Azam.

The love that they have for all muslims in their heart and they have spent their entire life in service of the ummah as is the tradition of their household and forefathers. May allah increase in our hearts the love of Qibla Alam Lalajee.

Yes, DS, I did notice that Hazrat's voice breaks when speaking of Baray Lala Jee rahmatullah alayhi. The simplicity and humility is the most striking
feature and the decision to speak in the simple Punjabi language rather than in 'posh' Urdu is also telling. I was very impressed having never met
them in real life yet...
The simplicity --saadagii--reminded me a lot of Hazrat Sayyid Afzal Hussain Shah Jama'ati sahib who is also very very soft spoken and humble and a wali of
Allah...

There is something special about these traditional, elder generation, pirs which is rare...

Hazrat Syed Shah Abdul Haqq Sahib (chotei lala jee sahib) is a beautiful personality and simply sitting in his presence fills one with delight. You can see in the video how Shah Sahib has aged in recent years, and possibly affecting parts of his memory.

His adab for his elder brother is remarkable and would often stand (or sit) like the rest of the mureeds in his respect. His elder brother barei lala jee sahib on the other hand would not let him feel any less important to the point that when people would come to do bay'at he would send half to his younger brother saying "your bay'at is with Shah Abdul Haqq" as more people would naturally go to the elder sajada nasheen. Hazrat Mufakkir-e-Islam often praises how there was so much ittifaq between them. It surely is an example for others and we find so much ikhtilaaf nowadays in pir khanas, fighting for the gaddi.

Hazrat Mufakkir-e-Islam has always shown utmost respect for him, going back many years from his father's time. You can see an example of it in this video, look at the words and the way he is sat in his presence:



Hazrat Shah Abdul Haqq Sahib has studied from the greatest Ulama of the time and they include Allama Ghazi Sahib and Shaykh-ul-Jamia Allama Muhammad Ghotawi. He is the only living student of Shaykh-ul-Jamia (Allama Bandyawli Sahib and Mufakkir-e-Islam have one wasta going to Shaykh-ul-Jamia). There are few scholars with two wastas today to Shaykh-ul-Jamia, let alone being direct students.

To finish off I'd like to quote Syedi Mufakkir-e-Islam who said that "Allah Ta'ala gives the duty to some of His awliya to preserve the batini structure of the world, at this time Syed Shah Abdul Haqq Sahib is guarding the batini structure of the world."

apni millat par qiyas aqwam-e-maghrib sei na kar, khas hei tarkeeb mein qawm-e-Rasool-e-Hashmi
ei biradar chu 'aqibat khakast, khaak shawesh az ankei khaak shawee
jarahat al-sinani laha'l-tiyamu ma yaltamu jarahat al-lisani

subhan Allah! Of course, these things of the spiritual world are Divine Secrets known to Allah and His awliya whom he wishes but it doesn't
surprise me that Hazrat Shah Abdul Haqq sahib is on a high spiritual level...(and yet we have some people criticising him for not having a full beard!!)

BTW, as anyone noticed how much like Hazrat Mihr Ali Shah the late Pir Naseeruddin Naseer Shah looked?!

He may not think full beard is necessary otherwise if he can keep half beard he can full as well. Beard is not a big issue what many people made it if it is Hazrat sahub aware as well.

asal cheze amal hay but many they put beard ist amal baad main.

Well let me put this one to bed once and for all. Not many people know this but Lala jee sahibs have certain malamati influences. Because from an early age they were honoured with so much respect and privileged treatment from people, like princes or probably praised more, so in order to counter that if you will they do certain acts so that people point fingers at them saying "look, they are sinners, they don't have a full beard." That's the intention and motivation behind it so when you have the haters saying such things it means that this dimension of their tasawwuf is working well!

Yeh brother QJ, just to be clear I myself am full of admiration only for Hazrat Shah Abdul Haqq sahib and consider him a wali of Allah too -- I was just repeating what some people say and I don't agree with them!
I love the idea of malamati sufis! Allahu Akbar!

Although externals are important I think sometimes we Sunnis can be too hung-up on them and ignore the fountain of spirituality beneath!

No I was not hinting at anyone on here but to neo-kharijite sunnis and sunni forums who have foolishly insulted the Shaykh.
