Asslamalikum,

I was hoping if you guys could share your duas and wazifas to remove hardship, difficult or distress.

I came upon this dua, but hoped if someone can enlighten me if I should repeat it, or read it at a particular time or the day/night?

Rasulullah (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam) had said, “I know words that will cause Allah Azza wa Jall to remove one’s distress. These are the words (of supplication) of my brother Yunus, peace be upon him,”
[ at-Tirmidhi; an-Nisa'i in 'Amal al-yawmi wa al-layla; al-Hakim ]

{La ilaha illa anta, subhanaka,
inni kuntu minaz-zalimin'}

{There is no God but You; Glory be to You,
Truly I have been one of the wrongdoers}

[Surah al-Anbiyah, 21: 87]

JazakAllah Kheir.

I was taught to use that invocation as a kind of extra to increase you duas acceptance. Similar to beginning and ending with Salawaat, I guess. Allah A'lam, maybe someone else will know better.

"O you who believe, seek help through patience and prayer (Salah is the word used). Surely, God is with those who are patient."
[2:153]

This is the one I use a lot... because certainly I do Zulm on myself all the time.
"Our Lord! We have wronged our own souls: If thou forgive us not and bestow not upon us Thy Mercy, we shall certainly be lost."
[7:23]

One may also recite:
"Our Lord! Bestow on us endurance, make our foothold sure, and give us help against the disbelieving folk."
[2:250]

Muhammad is a man, unlike humankind,
Nay, truly! He is like a ruby amongst stones...
