Mona's arguments were anulled, agenda was thwarted, voice was vanquished and goal in general was ground like a mineral. She was owned and paraded. She certainly doesn't represent 'us' nor muslim women, she's a speaker not a scholar.

This isn't necessarily to do with the Niqab per se, but I do think there is a force among Muslims that would further the disappearance of women from society.

This is a classic example. I'm not saying that there's anything wrong with women choosing to stay at home and be a homemaker, but the line is crossed when there is discouragement rather than encouragement to go into fields other than that. We need women to be a part of society or we lose 1/2 of Muslims!

Wishy-washy spine-less hippy Muslims who try to appease the kuffār at most things they do are only fooling themselves. To be blunt, you could sell your grandma's but they will still not accept you.

Some things need to be said.

What's interesting is that Hebah (with the niqab) is more composed, articulate, coherent and well-behaved than the militantly secular woman. How about that for upsetting the stereotypes.

Here is a good response to Mona's fame seeking article that features in the Foreign Policy mag:
