I guess this has been a long time in the coming... I have to admit I have grown quite fond of Yanabi.com and those brothers and sisters who contribute on a regular basis. Although I have my own views and opinions as do we all on most topics I love the open and honest atmosphere that the Yanabi.com family offers...

This appreciation and thank you is to all that contribute, inform and entertain! especially my personal favs TMS, FTR, DR Qalam, DS, MR and of course KTL!!

It would be nice to hear more of your views and I concur with you that the openness of Yanabi makes this a very unique website.

Without doubt it is an open forum where even the mods dont mind disagreeing with each other!

The best thing here is that there is no personality worship - which is the biggest proof that we are muslim and our heads bow to allah ta'ala alone. Those blinded by personality cults are the first to fire the takfir bullet - those blinded by the tawhid of allah and the love of the best of creation s.a.w look for goodness in their brethren.

I think its important to value Yanabi.com which provides us a space to openly voice our opinions and the ability to question even the highest scholars without being attacked, this is something I think which is taken for granted but with a little attention and awareness you will find that many other sites don't allow for much difference of opinion. Certainly over the last few years I have witnessed changes for the better here..

I'm usually a late comer to most threads but I do my best to keep up, read, learn, absorb and share my own opinion where I can...

Yanabi.com is truly unique, the first site and forum I stumbled upon where the Senior male members spoke up for women and promoted them in a positive light!

I was hooked instantly!

I totally and utterly agree with ju, sr, tahir, ds, imran, fara...imran et al have been very inclusive and deferent to women and womens issues, as in social and religious issues, not their tantrums lal
