Contemporary society has created a very romantic, idealic, utopian and unrealistic picture of life. It is fuelling our ambitions and dreams, giving us false hopes, aspirations and setting almost impossible goals. Unfortunately, Muslim women have also been caught up in such lifestyles. As a result, we have lost our sense of purpose and sense of direction within life. Rather than being overpowered by such philosophies our entire life should exclusively be for the sake of Allah. Knowing where we have come from and where we are heading will enable us to channel our ambitions, dreams and aspirations and fulfil the correct objectives in life.
