Asslamu'Alakyum everyone,
I am sure we all know what Salat al Kusuf is if not it is the prayer performed during the eclipse of the sun. There are many hadiths regarding this that are Sahih such as in Bukhari there is a book in there volume 2 I believe that covers this. It does not mean the death of anyone as RasoolAllah Salalla Hu Alahi Wa Salaam said this statement. Our beloved HabibAllah Salalla Hu Alahi Wa Salaam beloved son Hazrat Ibrahim Alahi Salaam came and went back to his Rabb and the eclipse appeared.
My question is how does one perform this prayer? I know it is suppose to be pretty lengthy because you are suppose to prayer while the sun is eclipsed. Ruku is suppose to be extended which is pretty longer then normal. If one can explain the components to this prayer? Is it 4 rakats or is it 2 rakats? or is it 2 rakats with additional takbeers?
advice on this would be appreciated and also regarding the khutbah would it be the same one that is given in jumma khutbas (arabic khutbah)
I have always thought about this but it always slips my mind when I am ready to ask someone.

Salam..
There is a book called Rukn-e-deen it is five part book, each part is specific to each of the five pillars of Islam. There is one part about Prayers.
In this book, we recently read the special nawafils one should perform. However i forgot but if you google the book, you should be able to find it. If not i will check with my Maulana and let you know.
