It is a sad day when a British man cannot be tried in a British court, but is sent to the USA to be put in a supermax prison and faces spending the rest of his life in solitary confinement.

Muhammad is a man, unlike humankind,
Nay, truly! He is like a ruby amongst stones...

Salams,
What is a “supermax” prison in the United States?
Well according to the United Nations it’s a prison described as “Inhuman and Degrading” where prisoners are given cruel and unusual punishments!
(Personaly I feel) It’s the kind of prison you would not want your worst enemy to be in, a prison one would expect to (only) exist in a communist ‘stalin’ type of state not a country which professes human rights and democracy to the world (but yet forgets her own backyard)
The Prisoners are kept in a cell known as a solitary confinement – a small unit (most probably) with no windows just plain bare walls, the prisoners are under surveillance all the time by the cctv (despite the surveillance, rape and torture of men is quite common) The prisoners are allowed out of their cells for 1 to 1 n ½ hours a day where no contact with other prisoners is made.
To call it hell on earth would not be an understatement. It houses people who are believed to be “worst of the worst” (in the eyes of the American government) terrorists from all walks of life, former spies who became double agents (and got caught), mass murderers, basically it’s the legalised ‘guantanamo bay’
All this and despite the claims by the different Human Right’s organisations through out the world that the living conditions in such facilities violate the U.S constitution, certain observers find it strange why European courts of human rights have made the decision they have made.
No matter what faith one follows no person should be allowed to go through that kind of an ordeal – just makes one think why have they let go of abu qatada and people like Lebanese bakri?
May ALLAH give them patience, Insha'ALLAH. (Inna Lilahi Wal Ilahyi Rajioun)
