I dont't think he would be even nominated, let alone a winner of the Nobel Peace Prize.

He's just nominated by the Govt of pakistan, prime minister gilani wanted to nominee Benazir Bhutto Sahiba but the Nobel Prize candidates can only be nominated when they are alive, Thanks God he didn't recommend Zardari (though his recommendation doesn't matter). A few months back an online petition has been launched to nominate Edhi for Nobel Peace Prize 2012, In which so far 111,323 signatures have been received as a sign on endorsement by different peoples and he is 'likely'to be nominated but not officially nominated yet.

BTW, there's another online campaign to nominate Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri sahib for Nobel Peace Prize for his unity efforts.

I signed the petition, that's the least I can do for him. But I am not sure if he would liked to be in the same group of people as OBAMA and co......

Salams,

Internationally, The Nobel peace Price would be a big boost for the foundation. Even a nomination is an acheivement in it self. If its in the good long term interest of the foundation to get this award then, Insha'ALLAH, they get it. If not, ALLAH SWT, relpaces it with something even better.
