I've downloaded the above video, there doesn't seem to be a problem with the length with this http://youtubemp3.tv/ link.

Is converting youtube videos to mp3 halal? IE, don't the artists usually want a 'fee' for you to download their music? Whether its Tupac or Saif Ul Malook, same principle right? Or not, please correct me if i'm wrong
That leads me on to my next question........
What about jailbreaking iphones and downloading apps for free that you would normally only get if you paid for them?.......
Looking forward to hearing your responses......

It's as halal as listening to it on youtube. Doesn't make much differance If i listen to it on youtube using laptop or litening to it on phone through mp3. The haraam probably comes in when you sell someones work to make money for yourself.

They do, however, have a problem with downloading their stuff and not paying for it.....that's how they make their money......this way we can access it whenever, wherever and no financial benefit to the artist

I will tackle your second question.
Why would jail breaking be haram? It's not illegal to jail break in most countries. Anyway, you buy a phone , you pay for it, why then you're restricted to use only apps store. Isn't this a monopoly on Apple part and isn't this haram to do that in the first place.
There's nothing wrong jail breaking your Iphone because your phone is your property and it's up to you how you use it. I believe there's should be legislation in place to prevent from companies like Apple or Microsoft to do anything like this in the future. But it won't happen anytime soon.
So far the time being, jail break your iPhone.
it jumps towards heaven in a single moment from the lowest place
