Fabrice Muamba collapses on pitch during FA Cup match

Tottenham's FA Cup game against Bolton Wanderers has been abandoned after Trotters midfielder Fabrice Muamba collapsed and stopped breathing.

Medics spent 10 minutes trying to resuscitate the 23-year-old on the field before the players were taken off by referee Howard Webb.

BBC Radio 5 live senior football reporter Ian Dennis says the English midfielder is fighting for his life.

The score was 1-1 when he collapsed with no players close-by on 41 minutes.

Medical staff gave him mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and tried to revive him with a defibrillator. In total six medics were treating the player.

Both sets of supporters chanted Muamba's name as he was taken off the pitch on a stretcher. ESPN reported that he was not breathing as he was taken down the tunnel.

The former Arsenal midfielder has been taken to hospital.

Referee Webb called the visibly shaken players off the field after consulting with managers Owen Coyle and Harry Redknapp.

Minutes later the match was abandoned.

This is a football player probably near peak fitness. His job involves being fully physically fit all the time. He works with professional fitness coaches, has access to world class doctors and physios, lives a wealthy lifestyle, due to his career has to live a very healthy lifestyle. Even when hes injured or its off season he is expected to keep himself active and motivated.

Allah can take your life in an instance, Only Allah knows wether he will survive. Regardless of the medical attention he is getting, his life was always in Allah's hands and it is now upto the Lord wether he would like to take him back. Doesn't matter who you are, how physically fit you are, how rich you are, your life isn't in your hands. Its in Allah's hands.

Need proof of a Lord? I hope this message hits home.

Good reminder bro! God constantly reminds us through events and situations towho we really are. Life's in god's hands; that means nothing can kill you and nothing can save you!

Sad, who knows what's around the corner?

Just because one is fit and healthy doesn't mean they are guaranteed a long life.

I know of a person who collapsed on the treadmill and later died in hospital.

Imagine that, the gym can kill. Allah ni Marzi. :(
