A final comment from me. DS makes a brilliant post about the contradictory, if not hypocritical nature of his speeches and personality. Elsewhere he says Banu Ummaya were equals of Banu Hashim, and in *praise* of Banu Umayya he says they were solid enemies of the Holy Prophet and his family (peace be upon them) astaghfirullah www.youtube.com/watch?v=e0Jhj1K3xxM --all this in an effort to please the mullah (especially the nasbi type) and dishonour his own claimed khandaan. He's obsessed with Banu Umayya, Marwan, syed women marrying non-syed men, degrading the status of Sayyiduna Ali (among other things includes opposing the nara Haydari and promoting rival slogans) and anything else he can pursue that would upset the Ahl-ul-Bayt. The irony is that the person who he spends most of his life swearing at (and perhaps among the targets in the video), Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri, has more respect for the noble family of the Beloved Prophet than him, and does not engage in anti Ahl-ul-Bayt rhetoric like him!
(by the way he insults and swears at the families of his own pirs/ustads so don't think syeds and ulama will be spared from his tongue).
In the same vein, whoever gave you the joke that he does not care about the dunya then ask the person why did he call people from non-Syed backgrounds as Syeds just for a UK visa? At the same time he denies that Ghazali-e-Zaman Allama Syed Ahmad Saeed Kazmi (r.a.) is a syed. He has in fact sold his soul to the dunya. Does it get any cheaper and any lower? Even someone like a jatt would get offended if someone from a "lower" qawm claimed to be a jatt, never mind make a non-jatt into a jatt--and this is coming from a so-called syed, unbelievable. None of these things befit a real syed. Not to mention calling jahil sufis of today the greatest human being after Abu Bakr Siddiq, just to get money showered on him. It goes on. It's all about the money and pleasing mullas. On the other hand he makes certain "tafzeelis" (Pir Syed Naseeruddin) and anti-Umayyads into the greatest awliya, especially if he can find just one anti-syed thing like nikah of syed zaadi.
He's a coward too stirring trouble then pushing people forward to fight his munazaras.
Brother Slaves of the Husayns, there is nothing wrong in priding in the fact that you are syed (not that the person in question is, he's more proud of his jatt links or banu umayyah links. Oh and note how he changed his name from Zulfiqar Ali (birth name) to Irfan, shameful). They are blessed and have every right to mention the bounties of their Lord upon them, in the same way that all Muslims can be proud in the quintessential favour of Iman that Allah has given us, as well as all the other countless bounties. Regarding other qawms, we have a system where certain backgrounds are considered more noble than others (generally down to occupational reasons) and that's simply the way the society is.
The problem is insulting those who may not have been blessed with the same favours, and that too publicly in the way that it is being done here. Worse more is the fact all people of lohar and tarkaan background have been ridiculed and insulted from the mimbar of the Masjid, the pulpit which was used by the nobles of Islam to stress that Islam disadvantages no one because of their background. I think the man should think twice before talking about Hazrat Bilal ever again. Bad as it is, it's not the most worrying concern of the video (I was just providing a basic transcription).
In any case, my reason for contributing to this thread is not about any personality or group but the sadness at seeing a completely innocent man abused, sworn at and mobbed and beaten in such a heartless way on the instruction of a person who these jahils take as their guide. All he said was "pehla mawzoo sahih chal raha tha" - you don't need yanabi.com or anyone else to tell you that it's horrific behaviour by a religious man and men in the Masjid, judge the video yourself.
Remember it was Yazid who would wave his stick about in this manner against the mazloom.
