Kfc Have Displayed Halal Food Authority Certificate At Their Store In Bradford
Posted 17 February 2012 - 05:52 PM (#1)
Can you please tell me what's the latest with regards to HFA (Halal Food Authority) certificate at KFC, what is the background to this and is it true all or most foods are 100% halal from KFC and does this include all KFC restaurants in UK or just some? If chicken or fillet burgers from KFC are halal, does this mean they have been slaughtered according to the shariah?

Meat is important. Surely without it ones hormones (or whatever) will be all over the place! I guess that explains the tantrums.....lol

I wouldn't eat there. There are KFC's in Luton that are HFA approved but the HFA stun the chickens, then slaughter them.

Qalam, you're in KSA arent you? Surely there's no doubt about the halal-ness of meat there?

Believe it or not, KFC and McDs in Muslim countries have attracted massive conspiracy theories
Many believe the meat they use is imported into Muslim countries so the source and halal-ness cannot be confirmed
My cousins back home and in the emirates don't eat KFC or McDs
As for KFC here in the UK and the HFA, I personally avoid such food. Not simply because they stun the chicken (because there is a difference of opinion on this) but because it seems many non-Muslim businesses are using the HFA name to claim to be Halal. Nandos being another high street name I avoid.
A pir-bhai of mine is in the food industry and he trusts HMC (Halal Monitoring committee).
This is my personal stance. Others may feel different. But I would not personally accept the word of a non-Muslim that the meat he sells is Halal.
If the seller is a Muslim seller then atleast I can take his word (unless there is clear doubt on the individual).

In a country where human rights do not exist - how can i assume that animals rights are kept in mind when rearing and sacrificing the animal?
The situation here is bad my friend - yesterday a philipino woman tried to commit suicide by jumping off the roof of the place she was employed as a domestic servant/ slave.
Unfortunately for her she survived and is now in hospital awaiting interrogation by the mutawwa.
So inanser to your questoin i only eat fish and vegetables no meat.
No wnder the ummah is in this state
