Film Makers include directors, script writers, story writers, producers...etc and all these people come together to project a story to us, the willing audience.

Most Films are unrealistic and sensationalistic in nature that engage the mind in a pointless exercise of using one's emotions.

The Hollywood industry is of remarkably high standard film making, enticing all of us watch the Movies due to good cinematography, story lines and direction. Bollywood film industry is cheap and clearly serves no purpose other than cheap entertainment. The way Women are portrayed is really disgusting, who are flesh baring dancers and objectifying them in the most horrendous way. Very few Women are seen as intelligent, as equals but rather as eye candy for a perverted audience. The Men are super heroes who hold all the power to right all the wrongs in the World. This is very damaging for the naive and crystalises understanding of relationships in that strange way well known in Indian Films.

But then you have 'good' film making, with purpose like Yusuf e payember, Imam Ali movie, Maryam e muqadas, The Message etc and other excellent social films like Khuda ke liye, Bol, and The separation. Does Islam allow us to make Films for a wider audience and what subject matter should be allowed? (Seeing that no films are made in Saudi)
