Superstition is rife in our communities!
We always hear stories of how 'falaan' has done taweez on 'teeng' and they are now visiting peer saab to remove the bas taweez with good taweez. Actually, in reality it might just be the person has a genuine illness, but no, it MUST be taweez. The fake mullahs are creaming the layman.
The other one that is prevalent is about a pregnant woman not going round someone's house when someone has died because she has a 'chaavla' aka shadow and it might affect her/baby. WTF!!!
How about reciting Ayat ul Kursi and the '4 Qul' with strong faith and certainty? Nothing will afflict you unless He Wills

Some would say believing bad actions take you to hell is a superstition.

Superstition is looking for things to go wrong so that one can blame the jadu, so proving ones own intuition and self worth. The 'I told you do' syndrome. It is ridiculous to put down all your troubles and difficulties to someone else's evil witchcrafting spells-Does bad not come from God?
First time I heard of pachava was not so long ago, it smelled of shirk to me. Who other than God can be responsible for loss of a baby or having one?
Believing in things such as these is such a great big slap on the face of ones' own intelligence and dignity as a human being.

I can no more understand the totality of God than the pancake I made for breakfast understands the complexity of me
