Salams,

Wahaayyy!!!! He's done it! :) Well done Sachin Tendulkar :) The guy got his 100th hundred. We probably want see another cricketer get his 100th 100 in our lifetime. Magnificent Acheivement!

(Remember him? A fresh faced 16 year old Teen making his debut against Pakistan a year earlier?)

Bare Muslim Players in India too ya know. We should surgically cut the cup up n divide it into three equal quarters. So we don't get Nazr on the Paki Team. BTW slap them star sign readers HARD! who chat crap about where the moon is and who will win. EEDIATS!

Still hate them all.

Salams,

Well done Bangladesh on great acheivement - beating former world champions and reigning world champions Sri Lanka and India respectively by getting to the final (very unfortunate losing by 2 runs) They can only build up on this and one never knows (Remember Sri Lanka in 95?) ........ Insha'ALLAH, their time will come! Chin up guys!

Sometimes I feel to lose for another is a bigger triumph which one will never feel if they win for themselves.

I've always rooted for Pakistan, but somehow Bangladesh deserved to win after going through to the finals.

KTW I feel your pain, nice couplet.

The best team won!

What a track Fekay, I'm getting all emotional and goose pimply, Jawaad's voice is so profound for national and patriotic songs!

Now let me raise my hands and sway! lol

Woah! Please remember it is a GAME not war! Nothing to do with religion--people don't play for 'Islam' they play for their countries. Do you think Indian Muslims should play
less well against Pakistan? Or Pakistani Hindus against India?!

What balderdash! I'm a big cricket supporter of Pakistan (and West Indies!) but it is only a game and often if we lose to the better
team I don't really care.

When will we grow up? You know it is good Bangladesh got to the final but the truth is they are an awful test cricket nation and although
Pakistan did beat England recently 3-0, we are not so great at the moment either.

I remember the heady days of Imran, Wasim, Waqar and Javed and Inzi...

history tells us that the jews sent a boy to recite poetry in order to get 2 muslim tribes to resume fighting amongst each other! This isnt much different. It just depends on whether we remember what rasool allah s.a.w said to those tribes.

Salams,

Tom Maynard an up and coming Surrey batsman tragically died in the early hours ofMonday morning, Tom Maynard was the son of England cricketer Matthew Maynard. The 23 year old was hit by a train near Wimbledon park tube station. He had a very bright future within the game who was tipped to become an England regular. His death should remind all of us that there is more to life than rivalry in cricket and every soul shall return to his Lord. A quite a sad day when we hear of people of such a young age die so tragically. May God give his loved ones the patience and some time to reflect on such a tragic tragedy. May ALLAH Have Mercy on all of us in this world and the world hereafter.
