Do you know the difference in her sypnosis, is that it is impartial and not understood in the context of reward for MAN. She has honestly projected her understanding with help ofcourse from translations, but she is an objective reader and this was very clear. I don't think I've ever heard anyone explain the meaning of the Quran so.....academically.

I didn't want her to finish, how beautifully done.

How can 1 Jewish woman read the Quraan in many different angles and say there are no 72 Virgins and we have an army of youths blowing themselves up for what?

Nothing!

I'm just stunned.

To be blunt and honest, i think it is because she is not a muslim, rather not religious at all, which gives her the ability to analyze it from a natural prospective, where instincts give sanctity of life far more importance than a book/religion or a conception (aqeeda).

We have our scholars who interpreted Quran/hadeeth thousands of years ago. Therefore, we don't need to think anymore otherwise nauzbillah we might end up violating the majoritys opinion. we can expand but not outside the boundaries of our dead lords. ops! forgot they are living. sorry.

A simple example in recent times who took a different route are wahabis, they interpret the book and hadith in their own way .... in all honestly everyone reading this ... ask your self ... has anyone respected/admired them for this ? forming an opinion outside the circle of the past doctrines ? (conspiracy theories aside). I have seen even (thought to be) enlightened scholars go red hot about wahabis. Perhaps or most certainly same is true on the other side.

how many of us hold a good opinion about Ahmad Ghamdi for trying to think and research Quran, in slightly different manner. what are our views on the shias (who're quite close to us) or submitters sect or qadiyanis. Understanding they are wrong is one thing, but how many of us don't feel hatred towards them and look at them as some lowlifes or keep company with them. The ability to digest an opinion completely or partially different from our own, especially when we are absolutely sure we are right and everyone else is destined for hell - has become our definition. I think this what the enlightened lady meant when she was saying, to come out of the world of absolutes.

In essence all we religious lots, sunnis/shias/wahabis/etc etc are fundamentalist brain drained zombies. The only good thing is: muslims are not alone, misery likes company ... few left out christians jews and others are in the same drowning boat. Eventually these man made religions will wither and die (mathematically speaking from current trends) and faith will become personal once again, free from the current guards. Understanding will return to its rightful place, the faculty of mind, which has in its very nature to accept an absolute Creator.
