The Prophet s.a.w said, “I saw on the night of al-Isra, al-Miraj (the Night Journey) a white column resembling a pearl, which the angels were carrying. I asked them, ‘What are you carrying’? They replied, ‘the Column of the Book, we have been ordered to place it in al-Sham.’ Later in my sleep, I saw the Column of the Book being taken away from under my headrest. I began to fear lest Allah the Almighty had abandoned the people of the earth. My eyes followed the Column of the Book. It was a brilliant light in front of me. Then I saw it was placed in al-Sham.”
The Messenger s.a.w said regarding the dajjal, “He will stay in the land forty days,; he will enter every place on earth except the Kabah, the Prophet’s Masjid, al-Aqsa Sanctuary and Mount Sinai.”
Muadh ibn Jabal RA relates the Prophet s.a.w said, “The flourishing state of al-Quds (Jerusalem) (under the non Muslims) will be when Yathrib is in ruins, the ruined state of Yathrib will be when the Great War comes, the outbreak of the Great War will be at the conquest of Constantinople, and the conquest of Constantinople when al dajjal comes forth. “
Awf ibn Malik reports that the Prophet s.a.w said, “The rest of the world will be destroyed 40 years before al-Sham is.”
The Prophet s.a.w said, “ A group of my community will remain on truth, they will vanquish their enemy and those who disagree with them will not be able to harm them until Allah’s Commands.” The Companions asked where are these people and the Prophet s.a.w replied “In and around al Quds (Jerusalem)”.
The Prophet s.a.w said, “There will be migration upon migration. The best of the inhabitants of the earth will reside where Prophet Ibrahim a.s migrated (Jerusalem).
The Prophet s.a.w said, “ Al-Shamwill be conquered and al-Quds will be conquered and you or your sons will be Imams there, if Allah Wills.”
Once the Prophet s.a.w advised Abdullah ibn Hawwala RA to join the army in al-Sham, over any other. However, the Prophet s.a.w noticing ibn Hawwala’s dislike said, “Do you know what Allah says about al Sham? Allah said, ‘Al-Sham you are the quintessence of My lands and I shall inhabit you with the chosen ones among My servants.”
The Prophet s.a.w said, “When the dissension take place belief shall be in al-Sham.” Another version is, “When sedition occurs, safety will be in al-Sham.”
I would like to ask everyone if they can raise there hands for the people of Shaam and Palestine and make a special Dua for these blessed Muslims, and remember them everyday inshAllah in our prayers. May Allah forgive them and give them a high station in His Comapany in the Hereafter inshaAllah.
(There are two variations in ahadith with regards to the place where al-dajjal will be killed one is in Palestine, the other in Damascus so Im not so sure which is the correct one. There was also a hadith which I came across stating that the dajjal's army will come from Constantinople which is modern day Turkey? I was wondering if someone has can find this hadith for me as I seem to have lost it or correct me if I have been mistaken. )

Regarding dijjaal's army, this lecture by Imran Hussaini Sahib will clear the matter up.
yes I understand that the Miraj was in a physical state but I thought the hadith was speaking about another time when RasoolAllah s.a.w was asleep?
