Asslam 0 alaykum,

I would be grateful if someone could explain me the following:

Is the correct pronounciation "Arfeen" or Arifeen"?

If the both are two separate words, what are the meanings of the both?

looking forward to your replies

regards

As far as I can tell, the name is: عَارِفِين (Arifeen)

It is a plural of the word "Aarif" which means "One who knows", and is sometimes used in Islamic spirituality as "someone who knows (God)", i.e. they have "Ma'rifah". This may be the origin of the word in its usage as a name. It is different to "knowing" in terms of "'ilm", i.e. "aalim", which would denote a learned/scholarly person.

Translation: "those who know" / "knowers" (of God?).

PLEASE pray for me - just say Ameen!
