DISGUSTING!, talking about a rape scene one second and then the cameras start rolling the alter ego kicks in, the audacity of quickly switching to the angelic face and mentioning the blessed verses of Qaseeda Burdah Shareef is shocking! The TV channels, producers, directors, cameramen, the whole production staff (they were party to his foolishness as well in some clips) who would have been witness to the charade need to be asked why they let this happen. I'll admit his talks were thought-provoking but I did get a feeling of showmanship which the public couldn't get enough of.

Makes you wonder about other personalities naat khwans, scholars and how they're getting away with conning us the public, When spirituality is replaced by commerciality this is what happens. I've raised this before, how genuine do you think some of the international naat khwans that visit our mosques are?

Let's be honest we're not all angels and sometimes we say one thing and do another but to appear on TV being in a responsible high-profile position kidding the public especially on programs that are religious in nature is one of the worst kinds of deception imaginable. I wouldn't be able to live with myself, religion has become so cheap! The arrogance and foolhardiness goes totally against his humble TV persona, I can't get over the stark contrast. We must step back and ponder upon whose hands have we entrusted our faith and religion.

In the words of Allama Qamaruzzan Azmi Saheb 'Joh nazar ata woh kuch nahi, Joh nazar nahi ata wohi sab kuch hai'.

It's made me think about my actions and that one day I'll be played back my hypocritical actions/words when it's too late to do anything. It's time to seek Allah's mercy in this special month.

I first watched Dr Amir perhaps 6/7 years ago on TV during Ramadan and I had feeling there was a bit of a drama baazi involved. The unfortunate thing for him is that he got clocked doing it. Many of us wear a fake cloak in public and we all dread the day that Allah (swt) removes it to expose our true faces. We ask Allah (swt) to protect our dignity even though we may have destroyed it with our own actions.

Even though Dr Amir has been exposed, cant we apply the rule of "do not look to who is saying, rather look at what he is saying?"

Mate I find such statements inclined towards racism. I think it's a relic of the Hindu influence we have been subject to for so long. I agree that the occupation of Mirasis and Kanjars is not in accordance with Sharia. However they do know the difference between religious affairs and their kanjar khana.

Secondly, Michael Jackson and Britney Spears are they Mirasis? Why is it so that Michael generates admiration while those doing the same in pk are regarded as lowlifes? Do you know a lot of people in PK and even in UK don't enjoy Music because they are afraid of being affiliated with the M word. How freaking stupid!

Bhand or Mirasi are actually the street performers in Punjab (east-west). It might be there cast as well as they are known by that title but it has nothing to do with racism or degrading the music related people or occupations. In British India and even before that during Mughal period, singers and Artist were very respectable people. Though some 'religious' people label Artists as Mirasi or Kanjar but i'm not one of them. I referred him as Mirasi because he seems a Bhand (street performer).

PS: Madam Noor Jahan is more dear to me than many of today's scholars.

He blatantly mocks his guests, the show and Islam in general its appalling.

He is a presenter, a show man, an entertainer this is his job to act, to put on a show, to wow his gullible audience.

Geo won't get rid of him, he brings in the audience, the viewers, so what if he swears off camera, Geo itself is a joke, calling a Music Channel AAG, then enticing the audience to 'Aage Baro' as it's byline, says it all.

You won't find God in the TV channels, not in TV Shows, nor in presenters, but in your heart.

It's time to switch off the TV!!

if we dont have real and good presenters for doing muzhabi programmes why tv channels asking these people to present them , they making money from tvs and making naat cds etc and making money on muzhub name what is there saza going to be are they munafiqeen or worse than them.
