In the name of Allah Al-Rahman Al-Raheem

Alhamdulillah wassalatu wassalamu ala Sayyidina Muhammad wa ala alihi wa sahbihi wa man wala,

Alhamdulillah thanks to everyones help so far we have raised just over 1/4 of the required amount for the Masjid project in Yemen, please see the donations counter on-line. Once we have 1/3 (approximately £10,000) building work can commence.

If anyone is able to arrange collections at the local masajid in their areas that would be a great help.

On-Line Donations can be made securely using the "Pay-Pal" option on the web-site:

http://www.ibad-arra...ma-project.html

Please let others know about this project:

The Messenger of Allah (salAllahu alayhi wa sallam) said: "Whoever guides to good has the like of the reward of the person who actually does it."

(Al-Adab Al-Mufrad Al-Imam Al-Bukhari)

If anyone has any queries please feel free to call me: Ibrar Shafi (07529323584) , or alternatively contact me by e-mail or via the Ibad Ar-Rahman Welfare Trust web-site.

Jazakumullah khayran katheera.

On the authority of the Leader of the believers, Uthman ibn Affaan, may Allah be pleased with him, The Prophet of Allah (salAllahu alayhi wa sallam) said, " Whoever builds a masjid intending Allah's pleasure, Allah will build for him a similar place in Paradise".

(Reported by al-Bukhari, Muslim)

Al-Imam Jalal ud din Al-Suyuti (rahmatullah alayh) mentioned in “Tadrib al-Rawi” and in “Qatf al-Azhar al-Mutanathara fi al-Akhbar al Mutawatirah” that the ahadith of building a masjid for the sake of Allah reach the level of Mutawatir (mass narrated reports).

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah wa barakatuhu,

Yes Yemen is an Islamic country, and one of the poorest countries in the World. I had the great blessing of studying there for about 6 and a half years witnessed the reality of this.

Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama'ah across Yemen is in a tearful state. Ahl al Bid'ah are on the rise and heavily funded from Saudia and other gulf states. It is a sad fact and I do not exaggerate if I say that we are witnessing what could be the final days of the Hanafi Mazhab in that noble land, which exists in Yemen from a time before the entry of the Shafi'i Mazhab. The Ministry of Religious Endowments pays little attention in general and to these regions and the Hanafi Mazhab in particular. The government being broadly of Zaydi-Shi'ah orientation.

Yes, hadramawt has in the last decade received great attention and financial support from outside in particular the city of Tarim. But Northern Yemen remains neglected and in particular the Hanafi Mazhab. The last stand of the Hanafi Mazhab is in Zabid and its surrounding villages and at the forefrunt of the struggle to revive it is our teacher, defender of the Prophetic Sunnah, the Mufti of the Hanafis, the lover of Ala Hazrat, Shaykh Qasim Kuzaym, the successor of Al-Shaykh Asad Hamza 'Abd al-Qadir al-Awsi (rahmatullah alayh). I have witnessed how the saudia-backed wahabbi movements are taking village by village under their corrupt doctrine within these regions.

While I was there the Mufti of the Hanafis was approached by 2 donators, one from Saudia and the second a religious organisation from within the Tihamah region, the Mufti flatly refused after realising their wahabi orientation.

This project is a life line to our brothers Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jam'ah in the blessed land of Yemen. I hope this answers your question. Feel free to ask further if you need clarification on any aspect of this project.

I leave you with poignant words from that great Imam of Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama'ah:

The late Shaykh ul Hadith Abdul Hakim Sharf al-Qadiri (rahmatullah alayh) mentions in a foreward to Al-Imam Ahmad Ridha Khan's (alayhi rahmat al-Rahman) Al-Ataya Al-Nabawiyyah fi al-Fatawa al-Ridhwiyyah:

'We present a part of one of his letters whose every word is a reflection of the pain of his heart. In a letter to Mawlana Ghulam Yasin (rahmatullah alayh) of dera ghazi Khan the Imam (Sayyidi Ahmad Ridha Khan) says:

'Mawlana! This is an age in which Islam is considered strange ' Islam began strange and it will return strange as it began so glad tidings to the strangers!'

......

Amongst the people of Sunnah the general masses are turned to frivolity, amusement, jesting and humour and the people of the corrupt doctrines (bid'ah) be they rawafid, wahabbi, qadiani hindu or nasrani all of them are exhausting their efforts in supporting and protecting their creed, financially physically and verbally, "Who is there for the people of Sunnah?"
