Excellent! Why is it, that when I hear Shaykh speak about Islam and what I see in reality on the ground level, seems to be worlds apart? Odd!
LOL @ Saboon (soap), funny word.
p.s where and when was this?

Salaam,
This was either in Wembley Conference centre, or Friends house in Euston and I think the even was entitled Uniting for the Prophet (saaw). If I remember correctly, it was in April 07 or 08. Amazing lecture. It's one of those, which if you listen to 100 times, you learn something new each time.

Amazing lecture subhanAllah, also see how Shaykh presents viewpoints from different background (Hadith, literature, history) and day-to-day activities, assimilating them to form a comprehensible picture of Islam that creates a deep impact and shows what a true scholar is supposed to be like. May Allah bless him and increase his station.
Perhaps you're looking in the wrong direction :P
dekhlo idhar toh eik baar mei hu na ^_^
It's not easy to be on the stage to begin with, plus her job is harder than what we actually think whilst sitting on our bums infront of a computer on a lazy sunday. She has to listen to the shaykh speak and try to 'summarise' it for the deaf audience, it will be hard to go word by word in such situation. Saying that, lets give her the due admiration for her part in spreading the message :)

The tranquility of both worlds lies in two things: magnanimity towards friends and the wise management of enemies.
