Jamia Al Karam is an excellent institute and the alim course offered there is one of the best in the country. There are plenty of graduates from there as imaams, teachers, chaplains and writers, commentators and translators.
The female academy is very good and I recommend it to every sister who wishes to pursue knowledge.

I was thinkng about who you could be but I guess your right cos all the sisters I know are still traumatised by what happened to em bless em. So they still hate Jamaia al Karam and would never say its a good school.

sis malaikah - one piece of advice - ordinary humans destroy their future by always dwelling on what happened, why it happened etc. Great people learn from their past and never ever look back. You have a whole life ahead, a life that you will never get again and you cannot let a bad experience ruin your future.Be good, be great!

Excellent advice above.
However, I'd like to know what actually happened? Feel free to PM me if you don't want to speak about it in public. Thus far, you've made it sound like a group of students were attacked or possessed by super-natural beings and they've never been the same since. In all fairness, I think this is far-fetched and nothing more than a case of extreme superstition and scare mongering. But I'd be happy to hear otherwise from you...
This 'incident' also seems to be the reason behind why you are so negative of our islamic schools and in particular Jamia Al-Karam and other bourding institutions. You are entitled to your opinion but I think that you should be reasonable and look at the greater success of such institutions and what they are doing for others, as well as their services to the community
I work for a busy charity and know how difficult it can be to make such organisations work flawlessly.
Thanks

if we take the bigger picture - it isnt such a big deal. Creepy crawlies at boarding establishments arent a new invention! Otherwise there wouldnt be so many horror films made about them! I have several family members who study at Aitcheson College in lahore and because of the fact that kids are away from home there will always be stories! Best thing to do is forget it and move forward.

lolll Is that what it sounds it!!?
Well actually they werent possessed they just got attacked (Im sure they all must have seen a jinn or 2 but I know 2 sisters had seen them) and they just had some jinns playing around with them as they usually do. The teachers didnt want to know because they dont "believe" in jinns so they werent having any of it, stated the sisters were lying and were a bit loopy so what could they do aside from pick on them annd then chuck them out one by one accusing them of being disruptive and what not. Well I was talking to a sister not so long ago, she is still traumatised and she wouldnt even attend Gateway because of it! She hates em she hates em all for what they did. All the sisters went through a really depressive stage... an of course it changed em forever. I mean if you went to a boarding school and had an unusual experience such as this for a few months wouldnt it affect you?
An to your second point the Islamic schools have done that all themselves, I see girls who go into Islamic schools really good but once they come out its like their a whole new breed... Im sure to sound negative about them but i really believe Islamic schools are doing more damage than good. Its like they say there is no point in gaining knowledge if its not being put to use.

Ok.
Regarding your second point, 'I see girls who go into Islamic schools really good but once they come out its like their a whole new breed'. This is but a small minority of cases. 99% of people usually learn something that will benefit them and move on as better individuals. You can have the best teachers and role models in the world, but if you don't want to learn or change then you never will. ALLAH guides those whom He pleases.
Moreover, in one sense, it's not the institutions' fault. They do their job and usually to the best of their abilities. Nevertheless, certain individuals may slip up or choose not to follow or preach what they have learnt and you can see this in every area of life and in all fields. History bears witness that the biggest and most notorious deviant was iblees. He was knowledgeable, the master of the Angels and known for his unmatchable worship. He had the knowledge, the know-how and enough sense to know that he had to follow the command of ALLAH swt; prostrate/bow down to Adam (as). But arrogance got the better of him and he became a deviant, a rogue and an outcast. Such is the state of some people nowadays I'm afraid. May ALLAH first of all guide me and then guide the Ummah. Ameen.
Now with regards to the Jinns, there have been no other incidents since or prior to these allegations or assumptions. I know numerous people affiliated to the school from past and present and I would know if it did. This mater which we have before us certainly has no part to play in the conversations there or in playground banter. Non of the islamic schools I know have experienced such issues and I like to think that such institutions are protected with the infinite blessings of ALLAH swt and the barakah of the Auliah and esteemed personalities who are behind such places. I know for a fact and have been told from numerous sources that, during the first year or two of the girls academy being inaugurated, there were a few individuals who may be termed as bad-apples at the very least. I know that this school and many others around the country, having dealt with so many of them in my years, have a zero-tolerance policy for trouble-makers, mischief-makers and those who are not willing to abide by the ethos of their place of stay i.e. school rules, boarding rules. This is not a personal attack on anyone, but I am merely highlighting a reality or substantive truth.
ALLAH knows best, but even IF there were bad jinns there who caused trouble with a few people, then what could you possibly suggest to the hierarchy or management? Call the ghostbusters in? I'm sure they had the ladies' interests at heart out of sincerity and they would've done everything in their power to carry out a thorough prognosis and take necessary action. I guess, in this case, necessary action could've involved removing certain individuals from the school due to their inappropriate behaviour over a course of time? I would've thought that the scared students would've left on their own accord one by one (is they were spooked) as opposed to being told to leave or kicked out...
Think about it reasonably and with a clear head and perhaps you won't be too far off from the truth
Thanks.
