Wa alaikumusalam, yes my sister went there 2 yrs ago. She didnt manage to complete the course because certain things happened that drove her away lol. In other words she got kicked out for something that wasnt her fault. It is your choice but I wouldnt go there if i were you. Hope that helps.

I hope she didnt get scared of something there,if we're on the same wavelength you'll know what i'm referring too.
Or was it just the fact that they dont allow niqab to be worn there?

With all due respect, it seems you’re just out to discredit the institute because of your sisters so called bad experience. If the school policy is no niqaab, then she has to abide by the rules. Any other organization would’ve done the same. From what I heard, your sister was a bit of a rebel (in the nicest possible way, lol i.e. passionate about niqaab, girl power, sisterhood and all that jazz :) ). She made a choice not to remove the niqaab and they made a choice to kick her out. Simplez.
Besides, if you’re unwilling to remove a piece of cloth from your face (something which, as far as im aware, is not even compulsory) for the sake of learning, in an environment where only the teacher is of the opposite sex, then education cant be that important to you.
P.S. Even I feel intimidated when shinobi’s are roaming the streets..... :)
@ opening poster:
If I were you, I’d contact them myself and possibly even ask to speak to a current student to get a more informed opinion.

Erm excuse me MVD but she was no rebel...She decided to carry on with her studies and take her niqab off but then a few other things happened which is why she got kicked out with a few other girls there were only like 3 left in the end lol.
The story is that there were jinns at the sisters accomodation and it only affected some of the girls that slept on one side of the dorm. Anyway after a few weeks of this torture the sisters decided to tell the headteacher or the person who was in charge. Then you wouldnt believe what he said. He told the girls that they didnt believe in jinns and that they didnt exist when clearly it is stated in the Quran. After a few weeks the girls got kicked out one by one...
This traumatised them for the rest of their life. Well it managed to change my sister in many ways and not in positive ways I must say. Anyone who has a different view than the teachers wiill get chucked out so if you want to go there just do as your told like a good girl.

I think on balance Jamia al karam is a good instituiton with good leadership. I would not base my opinion on the experience of one or two people. I know a Brother who graduated from there, and he was transformed into a confident, well educated and well informed scholar who is now doing some good work in his community. That is what matters. That is what people go there for, to gain enough to come back and help and guide others - and if that is what you want to do, I am very sure you will be able to do it!

LOL, is there absolutely anything noble that we don't tarnish with the evergreen jinn or churail stigma? Ofcourse jinn exist, but funny how in religious circles they're an ever present entity, whereas the rational mind can rattle of a myriad of explantations before befalling to supernatural stories.
If you look at the source of these myths, then you''ll understand why they're so irrational, here's a typical scenario, flex slightly for the Jamia -alKaram situ
Sister goes into the communal toilet, someone's done a megatron number 2 which won't flush down, she comes running out voicing the 'marshmallow siren'! What's the marshmallow siren? Well, take the name 'Edward Woodward', now repeat the name loudly over and over, with face slightly scrunched up like a screwed up piece of paper, but omit the letter 'D' out of the name.
The other sisters gather round and hear her story, but one cheeky devil declares, "Ehem, I think, whoever smelt it, dealt it". They all fall-about giggling, the sister who's been on the 'gold-digging' expedition retorts, "Don't think so, whoever made that rhyme did the crime". So it continues:
"Whoever made the rap did the crap".
"Whoever denied it, supplied it".Touche!
"She who said it, let it"
"Whoever told the story, did the megatron glory"
Anyway, after awhile. they all settle on the fact, that it must've been a mischievious Jinn; and now you see? How Jinn stories are born? So use the rational mind, flush it down and carry on with life. Don't further infuse fear in people by brainstroming what the Jinn might have eaten, make-up bags or foundation creams; they're just being borrowed by other sisters and they've simply forgot to return them. Don't worry, be happy!
Agree with Hamzah (get it right), they're one of the best we've got and we need to encourage them to puruse even if they churn out one bright start every year, it;s worth it, as they can only get better!

Walaikumasalam,
Please could you answer these questions about Jamia Al Karam:
What is the maximum age if any? What is the syllabus of the Alimah course?
Is the course intensive?
Do they teach tajweed?
Are the lectures in english/urdu?
Do they prepare their students for public speaking? What are lesson timings and does teaching take place on weekends aswell?
Are students allowed outside the building on the weekends?

So she should give up her dream? Of becoming empowered through education, learning her deen, being a more cultivated person and supplementing her goal of reaching akhira at the right side, because she should sit at home and become a baby making factory? As the summit of her parents (and societies) ambition is to see her sit at home, pushing kids out and serving her husband?
This is Britain Hassan, not indo-pak...the world's move on.
He who trims himself to suit everyone will soon whittle himself away. ~Raymond Hull
To Fatima, don't be put off, most guys will respect and support you, the worthy one's I mean, don't become cynical in your view of the male gender. Don't trim yourself to suit how other's want you to be and live, don't let them transpose their wolrd-view onto you and even if they try, don't internalise it, be yourself, go out and get! Don't listen to these mussle.
We put such a tiny value on our women and then we go around wondering why the world won't raise their price! is it any wonder? Before you ask the kuffs to value your sisters, first value them yourselves. I have been so angry recently, that we go around demanding and trumpeting this great value that Islam has given our women and how the kuffs should recognise and internalise this, but we ourselves, have given them the value of a gnats wing and we are terrified of changing our own attitudes, would rather just continue in this deceit. Don't ever tell me about how the kuffar should be respecting our women and that our women shouldn't go around taking their niqaabs off and 'begging' the kuffs. It seems in demanding respect from others, we have forgotten how to do it ourselves.

It’s amazing how you have cast this sister on the scrap heap because according to your schedule she should be married at 20 years old, so the idea of committing to a 5-6 year course is redundant.
What about the girls who are unmarried at 25? Are they over the hill?
A girl should be educated throughout her life, she should be nourished with information from home and school/college/university so she can grow into a successful woman where she can build a solid foundation for her marriage and become a knowledgeable wife, supportive to her husband and wonderful mother who can teach her children adab and etiquette. To suddenly give up hope and the idea of studying because it will take too long, or she is being selfish thinking of her education is ludicrous, parents who love and care for their child only want what is best for them and that is the best education they can provide for their child, no matter how long it takes.
An educated Muslim woman will be the mother of the next generation, and the knowledge she learns throughout her life she will teach her children and they in turn will become good, honest Muslims, women are not some baby making machine who should not been seen and heard!
Empower yourselves Sisters in Deen!

Assalamualaikum my dear sister. If I werre you I'd go for it. If you really want to study go for your dream dont let others put you off. 20 is still a young and you dont have to get married if you dont want to. Im 22 and I would study if I found a suitable place to study. Jamia al Karam is a good institute for brothers and for sisters I guess they all have their own opinions and experiences of it. Just remember it is for the sake of Allah no one else. Hope this encourages you. Assalamualaikum

I dont think any jinns in the madrish may be teachers harassing the girls or doing stuff to scared them . When strange stuff happened in boys madrsia s why cant be not in girls .
but again whoever feel like to join , dont believe here on net go there personally and meet dr sahub.
I dont think its fair not allow girls keeping niqab if one want they have to allow them.
