Not a sound
She lies awake while others are in a deep sleep
Unable to scream out, she covers her mouth
Shhh, not a sound
She remembers him and her whole being shakes
Unable to keep still, she closes her eyes
Shhh, not a sound
She hears about him, and her eyes fill with tears
Unable to stop, she silently weeps
Shhh, not a sound
She watches as they leave without her, again and again
Unable to join them, she wipes her tears and…
Shhh, not a sound
She closes her eyes and she is there with him
Unable to move, she is still
Shhh, not a sound
She opens her eyes and he is not there
Unable to deal with it, she suffers alone
Shhh, not a sound
She tries to keep busy, not let his thoughts enter her mind
Unable to do this, she continues…
Shhh, not a sound
For how can she make a sound?
With what words would she speak?
When all who listen
Are unable to give her what she seeks?
How can you tell her to eat?
Or to get some sleep at night,
To care more about herself,
That everything will be alright?
How can she stop her tears?
And her body when it shakes?
When the cure for her ‘illness’
And her heart that aches,
Is in the City of Madinah...
Until she reaches there,
Until she is at his feet...
Shhh…not a sound
yearning to visit Madina Pak (esp with Rabi ul Awwal coming up)

Their eyes sleepless, their faces pale, Lovers constantly sigh in grief.
What has become of these faces that once beamed with youth and vivacity?
Love is like musk that cannot stay hidden: its fragrance cannot but reveal its presence.
Only those who abide in realms beyond space deserves to be called 'faqir', O Bahu

My body is dissolving in your separation
And my soul is breaking into pieces. Ya RasulAllah!
Due to my sins, My heart is weak and becoming enticed. Ya Rasul Allah!
When you pass by me
Then even in my immense poverty, ecstatically,
I must sacrifice my soul on your blessed sandal.Ya Rasul Allah!
I am drowned in the taste of your love
And the chain of your love binds my heart.
Yet I don’t say that I know this language (of love). Ya Rasul Allah
I am worried due to my misdeeds;
And I feel that my sins have blackened my heart.Ya Rasul Allah!
I am in distress! I am in distress! I am in distress! Ya Rasul Allah!
When you spread your hands to intercede for thesinners,
Then do not deprive Jaami of your exalted intercession.
SalAllahu alayhi wa 'ala aalihi wa baarik wa sallim!
I pray that Allah gives us the same love that was burning in the heart of Mawlana Jaami Rahimullahu ta'ala!

This is the dua we should all do all the time.
Once you've been called than you might go there reciting the naat. Inshallah......;.

it jumps towards heaven in a single moment from the lowest place

Agar nahi meri aisi kismat, sadaa huzoori ki paa'oon lazzat
Rulaaye hum ko Tumhari furqat Nabi e Rahmat Shafi e Ummat
Lagaao seene mein aag aisi, karaar paaye na dil kabhi bhi
Rulaaye din raat Teri ulfat, Nabi e Rahmat Shafi e Ummat

I thought I should upload some pics of Madinah Shareef on here. These ones were taken in 2010 just after I completed Hajj.
...I tried uploading the Umrah ones too but they seem to be too large

@ Sister Malaaikah, I love you too! Please do keep me in your du'as (I know you do, but have a habit of asking)
So, another loved one is leaving me today and travelling to Madina Paak. So many times people come over or send a text, an email, phone call, and tell me of the happiness they feel. They have a little sparkle in their eye, a smile...a smile that I can not describe, though seating they seem to be jumping with joy. Telling me how they can not wait to get there. That it looks like a picture, like a dream. That they wish never to come back...and I am left here...
Fi Amanillah kehne ki mujhe himmat nahi,Mere paas buss yehi hai, ik ashkoun ki larhi,Bula lo mujhe bhi, Bula lo Ya Nabi,Thak gayi hoon ye keh ke, Aaqa mein reh gayi
Ya Nabi abh kya karoun meinTarpaati hai ye doori
Du'as!

Notes taken from a talk by Shaykh Muhammad al Yaqoubi called 'Yearning for the Beloved' SalAllahu alayhi wa salam
"I really don’t know how people can live without yearning for the Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wa salam). Can you live without air? Love for Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wa salam) is more important to soul than air is for your body.If we are unable to see the Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wa salam) then at least yearn for this!
If we have any reason to live on this Earth, it should be RasoolAllah (salAllahu alayhi wa salam).
Every night before going to bed, I have a wish that this night I am going to see the Prophet (salAllahualayhi wa salam). I love to sleep because I see the Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wa salam) in my dreams.
Imagine seeing the Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wa salam) in your dreams!
Prepare yourself for meeting Him (salAllahu alayhi wa salam) in your dreams. Go to bed, prepare yourself. If you don’t see Him (salAllahu alayhi wa salam) tonight you will see him the next night, or the next. Live with this hope.
RasoolAllah (salAllahu alayhi wa salam) is more important/dearer to us than cold water when we are thirsty (the thirst that leads to death).
People in love forget hunger, thirst, exhaustion, pain for the sake of their beloved!
Yearn for RasoolAllah (salAllahu alayhi wa salam).
Story of the trunk of the palm tree yearning for RasoolAllah (salAllahu alayhi wa salam).
You want to see the signs of love of the Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wa salam) on your face/body, then follow the sunnah, read about Him (salAllahu alayhi wa salam), make mention of Him (salAllahu alayhi wa salam), yearn for Him (salAllahu alayhi wa salam), repeat prayers upon Him (salAllahu alayhi wa salam), be in awe of Him (salAllahualayhi wa salam) when He is mentioned.
Then you will be given the opportunity to see him/meet him (salAllahu alayhi wa salam)."

How Grand Would It Be?
Were you to call me to your place, how grand would it be
Were you to fulfil my every hope, how grand would it be!
Were you to free me from the stranglehold of Satan, how grand would it be
Were you to make me yours, how grand would it be!
The turning of the time has tormented me, my Master
Were you to put me to rest at your feet, how grand would it be!
And so I proclaim, that I am a servant of yours, yet
Were you to proclaim me to be yours, how grand would it be!
I have come to shed tears incessantly for the sake of others, but
Were you to render me tearful in your devotion, how grand would it be!
And cause not, Akhtar to wander to-and-fro, my Master
Were you to seat him upon your threshold, how grand would it be!
