Duniya ki jang
Khoon ke rang
Sab kuch Khuda Ke Liye?

Jhoot ko sach, aur sach ko jhoot
Insani haqooq ki loot
Sab kuch Khuda Ke Liye?

Aurat pe ilzaam
Us kii izzat ko nilam
Sabooth ke beghair kath le aam
Sab kuch Khuda Ke Liye?

Eh logo, insaaf tho karo
Allah Subahna wa'talaa se daro
Aur Quraan e Paak khol ke paro

Pyaar Pehlow
Insaniyat dekhow
Be-saharoo ko gale se lagow
Aur Nabi Paak Sallalahu Waalihu Wasalam ki ummath ko bachow......
......Khuda Ke Liye.....

After scribbling Urdu words together, I decided to put myself to the ultimate test and publish my Urdu poem.

Your constructive criticism is always appreciated.:)

Bhool gai hai Allah ka in'amBeti hai maa baap ki shaankoi bhala kaise karega ye sab kamwaqahi....khuda ke liye?

Ye sab batein chorokoi nai sunega, jitna bhi sar pe charoab waqt aagiya hai ke tum kuch karohan apne....Khuda ke liye

Ummat ko jagaogarv se jeena sikhaoThora sa muskaraoBeshak, logon ko haq ki taraf bulaoGaziyun ne de di apni jaan ....... Khuda ke liye

p.s. I'm not competing with you and will admit that your poem inspired the above, so way to go boss :)

Superb! The spirt of Islam, the deen of haq that I fell in love with is still inherent in the words of the poets!

I would have like a verse for men, like you did for women, but it's your show, so whatever :)

I can't understand the second poem, but i'll take SKT's word for it and say, 'bari gal eh'!

woh jazba, woh junoon kahan se laaoo?
woh ishq mein asar kahan se laaoo?

koi bata de mujhe maikhaane ka rasta
bina maikhane ke sharaab kahan se laaoo?

jhoom jata nashey mein jo pee sakta
bina sharab ke nasha kahan se laaoo?

zinda ho jaaoon har maut par
aisey marney ka sabab kahan se laaoo?

na hungama, na shikayat
be-asar hee rahoon, aisa sabr kahan se laaoo?

Whats the similarity between you and the 'subhanAllah' chanting crowd? Well, obviously all of you love admiring works that you don't understand :P tell me what was so hard about it bro, perhaps I can simplify down my urdu, which is just below standard at the moment, for you :)

JazakAllah khair for the compliment though, really appreciated !

Awww....thanx! I think my simple Urdu is for people like me to understand, I guess you and me are in the same boat.:)

I love urdu, sophisticated, elegant and a polished language no doubt, but Pothwari (mirpuri) has a feeling of apnapan about it, the moment you utter the words you pull the listener that much more closer!

This thread is growing with wonderful Shahiri....please keep posting, I am eager to listen, learn and improve!:)

Ofcourse I respect urdu and it is the language of the soul, one which I speak fairly well, but our Pothwari is what keeps the bonds in our communities so cemented.  Our unique  resolve is sourced from our ability to connect with each other through powerful resonation with each others words! Koi gal ni veera, jairi Allah karsi!

It is the language of friends and makes it glow in whatever light...!

Good job guys, very nice and simple.

Even though I really like Urdu poertry, its just soemthing different when you read a urdu peom from a very good poet e.g Dr Allama Iqbal (R.A)

But pothowari language is something totally different, when you speak people start staring at you like something amazing/strange has happened.
Repentance is a strange mount -
it jumps towards heaven in a single moment from the lowest place

Must be for the lady who you don't shake hands with! :)

I'm finding it hard to belive that it is the very same Qalam writing this stuff....since your in this rare mood I thought I'd throw a few words your way....

Mathey uthe vat naii paii da  (That vein in your forehead throbs when you’re angry)
Logo pe ruub naii jamaai daa (Don't throw your superiority around on people)
Thora jaiyu hassi ji (smile a bit more)
Naluu sanu dassu ji (Tell us this)
Keri gallu gussey gusssey rehde hu? (Why are you always so angry?)

My dads a legend!

"Kutte ki kheer ni pachni" (A dog can't digest kheer [to do with greed - it's a Mirpuri version of The Midas Touch])

"Amb khai kin, te rika rehn deh" (Take the mango, but expect seeds, just remove them)

"Knokr ke, te nakhre keh"  (What is a servant? And what is his fussiness? [Work hard in the trenches and don't complain and be prissy])

"Ankha na takki ve na manni, te kanna na bujji ve na manni" (never believe that which you seen with your own eye and heard with your own ear - ever)

"Katte ki kadde ve na choi" (Never waste time trying to milk a male buffalo]

"Jis jammia ve, us kolu puch"  (The one who gave birth, ask her how it was? [This is to do with not getting envious over the fruits of someones toil and ignoring the pain of their 'labour'])

"Mussebat bhai te ni achni" (tribulation never announces it's pending arrival)

"Mushk pai gi, te nangi jase" (If a woman's musk bewitches you, prepared to be ruined)
