Assalaamu alaykum,
I'm asking in the context of moving away from home for uni. Is it possible to have two "home" places, where you pray full in both regardless of how long you stay there?

If you stay at uni for the whole semester and come back only for the holidays then the uni will be your place of iqama (Temporary residence) and as your staying there for longer than 15 days you'll pray full namaaz.
However if you are praying in Jamaah and the Imam is a resident then you'll pray the full namaaz behind him.
Hope it helps.
May Allah (Subhanu Watala) forgive me if i've said anything wrong, Ameen.
