Rescue of Chile Miners

Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Nazim Al-Haqqani felt a lot of concern and compassion for the 33 miners who were trapped underground in Chile. He prayed on their behalf, for their safety and well-being, and  he asked the Ahl an-Nawba (spiritual guardians) in Chile to look after them and make their rescue easy. He instructed the 33 workers to repeat as much as possible – “there is no god but The God”. When the news came that their rescue was very risky, he donated a big sum of money (Nadhr)to be distributed in charity in 3 very poor countries  in order to eliminate anything that might stand in the way of their safe rescue. Finally when all the miners were safely rescued, he prayed Shukr prayer and gave out charity (Sadaqa) in thankfullness to God Almighty.

For the honor of the Lord of heavens, Shaykh Muhammad Nazim Al Haqqani is sending to the poor people that have suffered from the calamaty in Chile 20,000 euros as a present wishing them to be happy here and hereafter and protected by heavenly blessings. Saying that it is a very small gift, Mawlana is asking forgiveness from the Lord of heavens here and hereafter.

Take my car

What are you going to do with a car?

I'd take enough food and water.

Mobile phone with a possible reception and £500 credit.

And a camping kit.

Why have only a few people mentioned food and water? I guess the rest must be on a diet. lol

Chile Miners visit Shaykh Nazim in Cyprus: 20/Dec/2010

(Omar Reygadas & Dario Segovia)

Omar Reygadas (17th miner to be rescued, Christian) and Dario Segovia (20th miner to be rescued, Christian) explain how they received a package from Omar's niece a mureed of Shaykh Nazim. The package was given to all 33 miners containing a taweez (amulet), hat and a letter. All the miners chose to wear the taweez/hat and recite the words in the letter as they thought that the intentions of this distant person must be good. They later go on to explain that on the day of receipt of the package the drill (used for the escape tunnel) had hit a problem but shortly after receiving the packages and reciting the words the drill continued on it's course. Dairo adds that Victor (one of the trapped miners) continues to wear the taweez.

Omar says on one occasion when he was grasping for air and struggling to breath he prayed to God that if his time has come to take him away after which a sudden breeze of fresh air entered the mine and relieved him and other miners and to this day none of them can explain this.

(left-to-right: Omar, Dario & Shaykh Nazim's (Chile based) mureed who delivered the packages to them)

A toucing story and I am so proud that a Muslim scholar in the very least reached out to these people. You can debate whether Shaykh Nazim's actions helped or had any effect but for me the mere thought of making contact with the miners and seeing this through is enough.

Salam

Being serious, I would take the following with me :

1.   A multi-coloured pen.

2.  A laser pointer.

3.  A Calculator watch.

The above items will give hours of fun to pass the time.

                                                                                                                                    stop the irreverance

4.  A medium pack. of almonds

Several almonds will be soaked every night and consumed in the morning strengthening the memory and helping recall childhood memories of 'McGuiver' tv series to see what he would have done to get out of the predicament.

Salam

2) my iPod, to listen and watch movies

3) I'm still debating between a fridge stocked with ice-cream or a notebook and pencil... screw that, I'm taking the ice-cream :D
