ive heard all these myths since i was little, maybe their could be some Background within them related islamically to an Awliya of the India Sub Continet but majority we should refrain from believing becouse you will usually hear these from the elder generation and mny of them relate back to non muslim traditions such as sikhs and hindus and so on.
The usuall ones you will hear about are.
1: If youre right eye twiches = bad luck
2: If youre left eye twitches = good luck
3: If youre Lip twitches= You will fall into an argument/ swear a lot
4: If you see a black cat= bad luck
5: If a crow flies around youre house 7 times = death of a someone close
6: If the chappati becomes bubbly and fills with air whilst on the pan= the consumer is very hungry
7: If the palm of the hands are itchy= you will recieve money
Theres many many more and 99% percent are actual myths, youre not alone i myself have my right eye twitching for weeks and weeks non stop and i dont encounter much bad luck, dont worry Allah will protect you inshALLAH

I thought that the twitching of the right eye is meant to be good luck and left eye is the bad luck one.
I used to have a great book that explained the origin of some of these myths.
While, most of them are bogus there may be some truth to some. Nevertheless, one should not be fearful of something bad to happen as a result and not let it effect their lives at all. I personally feel this one lies in the bogus category.
Also, twitching of the eye has a medical reason too. And sometimes lack of sleep or too much reading causes it.

There is such a thing as Fate which sometimes is otherwise referred to as luck too.
However, fate is not a line in stone and can be changed through the prayers of the Friends of Allah.
