I wasn't gonna comment after I explained the difference between ILM & AMAL.
It seems like you failed to understand the saying (kol) Mubarak of such a personalaty ( HADHRAT MIAN MUHAMMAD BAKSH SAHIB R.A RUMI E KASHMIR ), to whom EVERY LEARNED MULLAH be it UK based or PAKISTAN based acknowledges as SUPERIOR to them in ILM.
HADRAT SULTAN UL ARIFEEN HADRAT SULTAN BAHU SAHIB R.A wrote extensively about the Mullahs,Aalims of the 14th century Hiji and beyond.
They stated clearly that they will be the root of FITNA amongst the UMMAH....PERIOD!!
Take what is good as in explanation of Quran,Hadith E Paak & Fiq and leave the rest.
When are we gonna realise that the Mullas of today, be it Maulvi,Mufakir,Shaykh E Islam or any other long winded title are mainly lip service..
Time and time they have been exposed because of their actions.
If we are to acredit anyone in this time with PURELY ILM, then I strongly believe Iblees will be at the front of ALL Mullas and the long winded title bearers.
Nabi E Paak (S.A.W) said if you teach one word the I shall free 10 of you.
Today these Mullas, say one word! and 10 dive at his feet to become his slaves........

Find a KAMIL MURSHID IF YOU WANT TO KNOW THE REAL MEANING OF ILM.
He does NOT speak from his mouth but looks into your heart and corrects many flaws.

Hazrat Mufakire Islam Pir Sayed Abdul Qadir Jilani Shah Saab has been teaching all their life and have studied on Bukhari over 120 commentary and teached them. All his life he has devoted himself and he was there when Allama Ghafoor Hazarvi RA WAS about ( he was ilm da badshah) Baray Lala Jee RA was about. Today alhamdulilah Hazrat saab is 77 years old and he is unique and matchless. So lets not forget who the bacha is. The is no comparison for Hazrat Saab.

the way they have ranked the scholars where there is no name of Huzoor Mufakkir e Islam or dr Qadri which is supposed to be there, I spoke in Takfeeri language that according them He and Dr Qadri yet have to be accepted as a sunni muslim scholar.

abdul bhai ik scholer murshid ban sukta hay lakin murshid murshid hi hay not scholer and the topic is ranking of islamic scholers so pir sultan bahoo and mian mohamamd buksh sahub was sufies and murshids etc but when we rank sunni scholers I think they may not come in it but when we rank murshids sufies pirs etc they may come on top list.

What is wrong with you Muslims,First it was the Afzaliat issue who is Number 1 and Number 2 now the present day scholar ranking has started.Just look around the World Muslims are getting bashed up left right and centre and you Guys are arguing about ranks.Libya has turned into an animal run state and you Guys are arguing about Ranks,Iraq and Afghanistan have turned into mass grave yards,Egypt Syria Iran and Pakistan are heading in the same directions and yet you Guys are arguing about Ranks.Khuda Ki Liye Sharam Karo,Aur Dua Karo Ki Allah subhanatallah Hammay Is Zawaal Say Nikaalay.

Ameen , yehi to hamari kamzori hay scholers ko haar pehna pehna kay hum nay un ko takaber main daal diya hay , jo mulk ka haal hay wahan rehny walon say pochen Allah hamary watan ko slamat rukhey , jitna koi apny ilam main kamil hay utna woh amal main kamil hona cahta hay or dunavi rank ki us ko purwah bhi nahe hoty or dunavi fame kisi kaam ki nahe hoti.

This discussion should sooo not exist!!

There are many reasons for my thoughts but I would like you to consider a few points:

1) Everyone has their own "top scholars" who they like to listen to NOT because one is better than the other but because we all understand different scholars, due to the way they speak and we all will have a difference in our preferences. So there cannot be one person who can rank scholars and expect everyone to believe him.

2) As someone stated earlier, the person who ranks the scholars has to be above them all which should make him right at the top of the list lol, however, obviously he isnt going to be ranking himself first now is he.

3)The person in charge of doing the ranking should be nominated and there will obviously be a disagreement between everyone with regards to the nominee.

4) Proper scholars wouldnt have the nerve of ranking/judging others, its just wrong.

5) And finally, what is the meaning of ranking scholars? I believe all the Sunni Ulama specialise in a certain area and therefore the ranking would only consider the scholars who have ijaza in the topics they are interested in.

^^ Agree, everyone has their opinion on who they prefer to listen to etc but it would be disrespectful to rank the ulema, who are we to say who is better than someone else, every aalim with sound aqeeda is a jewel of this ummah, their value lies with Allah (Jalla Jalaaluhu) not with who has done the most speeches/publicity, or who has the most mureeds, sounds pathetic but this is the state of us today, everyone is focused on who is bigger than someone else, and trying to degrade others. "Ranking" scholars in my opinion reflects this.
