The communication with twitter is either done through a local wireless network or your service provider. The latter costs money depending on the type of subscription you have. Most vendors offer subscription for mobile surfing. You have to check details of your package.

Hmm, a tweet followed by a comma and date+time looks a bit of a jumble.

How about having the time just after the person's name and replacing the whole today's date , eg 9th June 2010, with just "Today" ? This can be placed inside a square bracket.

Any other suggestions?

Yes good advice, I will change that in a moment.

I have added a reply button to each tweet, so one can respond to specific messages. Dialog with individuals will also show on your mobiles :)

"Get my Tweets" is added as an option on the homepage and on the extended version of the Wall.

You can use this interface to enforce a refresh of data related to your account.

If it shows 0 then Twitter is down for maintenance and you have to wait like everyone else.

We had a system-side issue this morning starting around 0800 Pacific that resulted in  twitter.com experiencing two 30 minute back-to-back incidents over roughly one hour.  The problem has largely been addressed, but we aren’t quite to 100 percent yet.

When you open the site it will be in order  starting with the last tweet first and then going backwards. However, if there are new tweets while you are reading it, it will fetch at the time of discovery. For example
19,18,15,20(new one), 14 13

Now the order can become distorted due to the reason mentioned above. It's like this by design. If you guys are happy with the old boring stuff, then sure, we can always switch back to that.
