Salaam, i am new. Hope everyone is well.

I want to learn about sufism. I know that great classical scholars have written books on sufism, such as imam al ghazli(RA) and imam nawawi(RA).

But before i read there books, i think it would be best if i got a introductory book on sufism, so i can understand it better.

I prefer a real book than ebook, thank you

I would suggest for a beginner to read

Love is the wine by Shaykh Muzzafar Ozak®

When you Hear Hoof Beats think of a Zebra by Shems Freelander

Secret of Secrets By Shaykh Sayyid Abdul Qadir Jilani®

The above 3 books are very easy to read and to understand.

If you want to know about awliya then  read Tadhkirat al-Awliya by Imam Fakhr ud-Din Attar ®

Although not for a beginner but Fusus ul Hikm by Shaykh al Akbar (RadiAllahu Anhu) is an excellent kitab full of secrets; it is an extremely difficult book to grasp but for those who can hold even a glimmer of its power it is simply mind blowing!

Especially for those who want to know about Wahdat ul Wujood.

PS- I would advise serious caution to those who attempt reading this book without going through suluk and having the backing of a Shaykh-e-Kamil.

One does need a kamil shaykh to help himin understanding Shaykh Al-Akbar ® works

74- The intercession of the Prophets, alayhem assalatu wassalam, is a fact.

75- And the intercession of our Prophet, alayhi [wa alihi] assalatu wassalam, for the sinful believers and those among them who committed grave sins and are [consequently] deserving of punishment, is an established fact.

Yes Imam Abu Hanifah (radiAllahu 'anhu) did, read the poem he wrote: Qasida Numania. In that you will find Imam Abu hanifa doing tawassul through the best of creation, the Holy Propget Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family).

Miftah ul Jannah (26.04.2010)
Although not for a beginner but Fusus ul Hikm by Shaykh al Akbar (RadiAllahu Anhu) is an excellent kitab full of secrets; it is an extremely difficult book to grasp but for those who can hold even a glimmer of its power it is simply mind blowing!

Especially for those who want to know about Wahdat ul Wujood.

PS- I would advise serious caution to those who attempt reading this book without going through suluk and having the backing of a Shaykh-e-Kamil.

The above book, is it available in English?
