A friend of mine said to me that there are no "great" scholars living today anymore, I was very angry. So I have decided to start this thread...

We actually have quite a few threads on this topic already so please do a forum search.

Perhaps we could have something new like: the top Ulama of Syria or Iraq, Morocco etc. so people can share their knowledge of great scholars in different location around the world. To know about the main Sunni Ulama in Saudi Arabia would be a good one.
