Assalamu Alaikum,

It would be really good to see where the family members of YaNabi.com work and where majority of the interest is. Most people seem like they would like to or are pursuing an excellent career. It would be good and inshaAllah may inspire other brothers and sisters to do well in life. This isn't an ego feeding exercise but we need more positive Sunni rolemodels in society to be brought out rather than the rolemodels driving around in hired cars.

Please participate in this poll. It is kept anonymous if you decide not to leave a comment. Although you could go into depth (i.e. leave comment Uni student studying Law at Sheffield University) or some words of inspiration for others will be most appreciated. JazakAllah

Why not have the occupation displayed in the member section under their avatar.

Grouping people by profession would be very beneficial as they could work together to try to bring Islamic intiatives or discuss Islamic matters relating to their profession.

Assalamu Alaikum, just a suggestion that rather than making school, college and universities student separate make them in to a single poll which can be just simply "student".

Also along with Islamic studies you can add Aalim/aalimah or mufti.

And Where is engineering as a profession? You couldn't have missed that bro :P

Also include Journalism which includes basically every aspect from book writing to free lance.

i want to click on three things but I can't.

Btw I think this is an excellent idea, and I agree with brother/sister blogger, in that way we could help each other in our work and deen.

Dear Brothers & Sisters,

It is very interesting to participate and get the results so far. I am happy to learn that most of the members are University students. Secondly are teachers and others. It is a healthy atmosphere for our Yanabi.com.

Wassallam,

Come on family dont be shy, If there is more than one occupation then just choose the most suitable or one you feel most happy about. Surely we have more than 0 sportsmen??

Please join in if you havent already - people seem very quiet these days - the forum has a new layout, and its more welcoming. If you did feel scared or in doubt to post before - its a good time to start and inshaAllah help other people benefit, your few words may help change someones life InshaAllah

Assalamu alaikum,

I'm a behaviour therapist (ABA therapy) working with autistic kids. And I'm moving back to Manchester next month and *cough cough* ...need a job.

If anyone knows of a family in the area that need these services or need any advice on autism/special needs/behavioural interventions, please don't hesitate to let me know through PM, there aren't many Muslims in the field.

Quite suprised with the number of uni students on this forum, very encouraging indeed.

PS: Make a separate option for taxi drivers and takeaway owners, would like to see the amount of hits there lol
