Mcdonalds ice cream mcflurry halal or haraam? someone has told me that it contains whey powder which is from an haraam animal i do not have a source or information to back this up as its just someones telling me. Does anyone know any more information on this?

I wouldn't trust Mcdonalds in most things, but I'd always thought surely you there can't be anything wrong with Mcflurry's. Anyways, if you have some doubt just leave it. Have Dixons Ice Cream or any other Ice Cream...

That is the principle i go by and the way my Shaykh told me to go by. I used to eat Macdonalds a lot and i loved it however when i realiesed what they could be putting in, it makes me feel sick.

Brothers if you really want to have your mind off it then go to a school when they are serving beef or pork and go into the dining hall. Look at the massive tray container in which it is all in and it looks disgusting. Right then imagine that in your food and you eating it.

Then imagine eating it and being thrown into fire for it. Is it worth it??????

My mate and I bought some tea from KFC.  My mate pops out with it that buying 'tea' is ok and halal if you buy from KFC or McDonalds, as long as you don't buy other stuff from these places.

Any views on tea from KFC or Mc'ies?

Mashaa' Allaah brother Faraaz. But Seat Belts on, if your mate said that Tea is Halaal but nothing else, then what about the Ketchup, Salad Cream, Soft Drinks, Plain Water, Salads etc.

Why go to Mcdonalds or KFC, when in nearly every town/city in the UK there is a first-class Halal Asian Restaurant/Take-Away!

Plus you'll be helping the Muslims who run those restaurants by increasing there revenue.

When I asked 'your views on purchasing tea from KFC or McDonalds, etc', what I meant was is it ok or permissable to buy even things as simple as these from places that supports or may happens to support the Israelis in their cause against the Palestinians through revenue generated from customers, or are we advised to not even buy things as small as these such as tea, coffee, drinks, sugar etc?

But I can say with confidence that I don't there's a problem at all to use their (i.e. Mc'ies, KFC's etc) toilets and wash room.  Plus its free to use. lol

Brother remember if you are using their toilets then there must be a lota and make sure there is not 'stuff' everywhere. I reccommend that if u really must use the toilet then you use them in somewhere like Sainsbury (I use the wheelchair ones as they are clean and i can use a lota with water)

Also as u say drink, it is still wrong. This is because their drinks are near the meat and may have had contact and well it is reccommended to stay away and if u want to buy for a good cause then i suggest charity.

Donate to a Muslim charity and that way you helping Muslims but also not commiting sin.

Most McDonalds mcflurrys are ok to eat except for the Smarties flavour this is due to the colouring in the red colour smartie, hope this helps

Insha Allah, (if Mc Donalds allows franchisee), me thinks we can have our own Mcdonalds & KFC,
even if they doesnt have a policy of franchisee, we can work an understanding, i guess for them it is more about money, if they are to get a sizeable & always increasing number of muslims who are staying or wanting to stay out of KFC & Mcdonalds, they wont be adverse to an idea of Mcdonalds H or KFC H,
Insha Allah this should be a way out, anymore suggestion please.

dr saab ice cream can be forgiven but please kindly explain to us and the wider world what is LOTA and the benefits of using the Disabled toilets - thus depriving some wheelchair bound human the ability to relieve himself whilst some muslim can use his LOTA. Also could you reply to sis PM - i am intrigued.
