Asslam 0 Alaykum

I want to purchase a Tafseer of Quran-e-Pak in Urdu language according to Ahl-e-Sunnah Wal Jamaat. I am confused which one to purchase.

It should be aTafseer easy to understand. I would be grateful if brothers and sisters help me and suggest a few names in this regard and also the reason as to why are they suggesting that specific tafseer. In other words, the quality which that suggested tafseer is carrying.

Looking forward to your replysss.

Jazakillah.

I would suggest reading Noor Ul Irfaan by Mufti Ahmad Yaar Khaan Naeemi Alaih Rahmah

Aise Main Islam Bachana,

Tafseer Zia ul Quran by Hadrat justice Pir Karam shah Al Azhari (Rehmatullah Alaiyh).

Theres also Tafseer Khazaain ul irfan by Hadrat Naeemuddin muradabaadi(Rehmatullah Alaiyh).

Although a very good contemporary one would be Tibyanul Quran by Shaikh ul Quran and Hadith Moulana Ghulam Rasool Saeedi of Karachi.

There is also Tafseer Naeemi which is very voluminous work which was in part done by Hadrat  Mufti Ahmed Yaar Khan Naeemi(Rehmatullah Alaiyh) and which has been completed by his late son sahib.

This is quite a difficult and indepth Tafseer more suitable to be used by ulema or students of deen.

Yes Excellent tafsir by Ghulam Rasool Saeedi Sahib. What i like the most about his tafseer is mufti sahib quotes other scholars views on a particular subject. Tafsirs which are in arabic, he has done urdu translation and quotes them accordingly. It is in 12 volumes and excellent for research purpose.

And if you want to read a general short tafsir then i would also suggest Tafsir Ibn Abbas ( Huzoor Paak ) uncle Hazrat Abbas wrote, and it has been now translated in urdu with Quran translation Of Ala Hazrat. Published by Zia ul Quran, 2 volumes.

Other tafsirs mentioned by others are also equally good.

As salam o alikum

Most of the prominent Tafaasir have already been mentioned by the knowledgeable users of this forum, Masha'Allah.

I have got 2 of them at home, Zia ul Quran by Pir Karam Shah Sahib and Tibyaan ul Quran by Ghulam Rasool Saeedi sahib.

The former is concise, short and sweet, the latter is much more detailed and more in-depth. I dont know what level of research/study you are envisaging, but my suggestion would be to go for the latter ie Tibyaan ul Quran.

May Allah give us all the taufeeq to learn the deen and then ACT upon it.

.

Sometimes in order to help He makes us cry.
Happy the eye that sheds tears for His sake.
Fortunate the heart that burns for His sake.
Laughter always follows tears.
Blessed are those who understand.
Life blossoms wherever water flows.
Where tears are shed divine mercy is shown.

There is a very beautiful tafseer that is currently being written by Shaykh Muhammad Imdad Hussain Pirzada called "Tafseer Imdad-ul-Karam".

Its first volume is out in separate English and Urdu volumes - it is from Surah al-Fatiha to Surah al-Ma'idah. It is available from http://www.alkarampublications.com/

I very much liked this Tafseer because it is written today and is therefore very relevant to today's issues and has logical arguments for not eating Pigs, alcohol etc. Also about why women have different inheritance rights than men, why men can marry 4 wives and women cant etc etc. It is up-to-date tafseer for the 21st century.
