Assalamo Alaikum,

Sorry about the rude interuption but my ever ageing braincell somehow recalls That Asr for the Shafi'i Madhab is 1 and a half shadow lengths and for the Hanafi Madhab is twice the length. Maybe brother Mubasher you are correct and its just memory blank on my behalf, can someone please verify?

Also brother asad, if we start mixing and matching the rulings on fiqh then we wont be any different to the salafis whom find the easiest ways out by choosing anything that suits them and reject the whole concept of taqleed. So no it is not permissible to start playing around with namaz times as these times are prescribed and we should stick to what we are and have been following no matter what madhab you are.

why are you insulting salafis???

Every one be clear about a few things:

1. every follower of either the Imams is basically the follower of Hazarat Muhammad (SAW).
2. every interpretation of either of the Imaams is basically dependent on HADITH of Hazarat Muhammad (SAW).
3. please be the follower of Hazarat Muhammad (SAW).
4. Negating to offer a prayer behind any Imaam shall b supported with a Fatwa or Ijtihaad.
5. Dont do QIYAAS (your own perceptions) if Quran and Hadith is Available on it!
6. Hanfi, Shafi, Malki etc are not Madahib, these are Maslaks....there is a huge difference between madhib and maslak!!!!

when so ever i get time i will share a few thing more as well!!Posted Image

Why not! Do share your knowledge with us but be prepared to learn as well. May be we might learn something from each other but if you all only here to put some fatwa's on people of taqleed than don't bother.
