السلام عليكم ورحمه الله وبركاته
This isn't a hypothetical situation. There is such a person. P Sugunakara Reddy. He's an unassuming businessman from a small village of Aragonda in Chittoor district in Andhra Pradesh.
In Aragonda, a tiny village famous for its sugarcane and mangoes, Hindus and Muslims lived amicably and have had no trouble for as long as they can remember.
Dr Pratap Reddy of Apollo Hospitals fame, who hails from the same village, still remembers his childhood.
"Even when I was as a small boy, we used to go to our Muslim friends' houses and eat on Bakri Id. We used to go to our father's jatka drivers' house then... There was communal harmony then and I am proud to say it is there even now."
"Even when I was as a small boy, we used to go to our Muslim friends' houses and eat on Bakri Id. We used to go to our father's jatka drivers' house then... There was communal harmony then and I am proud to say it is there even now."
"I don't find any difference between a Hindu and a Muslim. I believe that you are a human being first and your identity as a Hindu or a Muslim or a Christian comes last. In our village, all of us, the Hindus and the Muslims live in a very friendly atmosphere. Still I felt if we, the Hindus who form the majority, took care of them, there would more harmony and more understanding," says Sugunakara Reddy
We have had problems between Hindus and Muslims in many areas in our country and I do not want anything of that sort to happen in our village. It is true that so far we have had no problems; but I want everyone to live in the same peaceful atmosphere."
With that objective in mind, Sugunakara Reddy told his friends of his desire to set up a mosque in Aragonda. Some of his Hindu friends were baffled, some horrified and yet some others, delighted.
He told them that Hindus, who form the majority, have the moral responsibility to make the minorities feel safe. His Muslim friends were shocked first, but were certainly happy. Money started pouring in, most of it from Muslims, but also from several enthusiastic Hindus. Among them Dr Pratap Reddy.
There were more Hindu architects and engineers involved in the construction work and the Muslims said Sugunakara was sent by god to help them, giving him the title 'Aptha Bandhu'.
The Prince of Arcot, H H Nawab Mohammed Abdul Ali, who is also the founder and general secretary of Harmony India was the chief guest at the function where the mosque was opened. He was lavish in his praise of Sugunakara Reddy's efforts to bring about communal harmony in Aragonda and was peeved with the Indian press for not highlighting his work.
Shihan Hussaini, famous karate expert was pleasantly surprised to hear the news. "A Hindu constructing a mosque? I am very, very happy to hear this. In one place so many Hindus united and demolished a mosque and that was shown to the whole world. And here in a small village, we have this one Hindu constructing a mosque for his Muslim brothers but nobody knows about it! This is what I call irony! I am proud that when people are being burnt, when religious institutions are being destroyed, one man has created something... What has happened in a small village is a big, big thing for our country as a whole."
Now in the end of this as a whole beautiful and unbelievable incident,Arose a litle question in my Mind that is it ok for muslims to pray in such a Mosque that has been buit by Hindus and their Money!!
Wasalam

Please don't forget some the facts of India, for it second most Muslim populated country and First among most number of producers of Alim-e-deen in the World, Hafizs, Alims, Muftis,Qaris etc. I was born n brought in Southern part of India, Hyderabad-e-Deccan. Believe me the Aqida and love of so called "Idol Worshippers" towards wali's and Great scholars of Islam is more than wahabis and Deo's.
After Every prayer in masjid there will be Hindus standing infront of Masjid not to beg for money but to beg for some Quranic ayats recitation from Imam or Mozam and they want to bless on them and on their childrens. If u visit any shrine or dargah in India, there will be more Non-believers compare to Believers of Islam. It is no more clandestine to their community but it is matter of fact for every Idol worshippers.
Trust me because of some unfortunate Incident happens in India for political purpose, some people labelled them as Hypocrites. But in reality Majority of the people are very humble and down to earth, people like Sugunakara Reddy and many more, I am not here to Justify there Beliefs but say "yes" for the behaviour.
In conclusion, I'm sure that Sugunakara Reddy has donated some amount of money but not the whole towards construction process. As they(Non-Beleivers) aware the beliefs of Majority of Muslims, how strict they are in matter of following religion.

Brother Asad It's Ok,
we can live with the Problem of VHP & RSS
what Brother Syed is saying is true,
we cannot let Harmony between Hindus & Muslims in most part of India, fall prey to the evils of VHP & RSS,
we as Muslims should continue to judge each person individually & should look to choose the road to peace & Harmony at most occasions,
there is so much that we as Muslim in India can do, but alas it's not being done,

I do not understand why the responsibility for maintaining communal harmony is always to be borne by muslims? Whether it is India or west, why only muslims have to bend backwards to accommodate the feelings of others? I do not have any hatred against hindus. My mother was a hindu before marriage. But I still think we muslims have been making too many silent sacrifices to ensure communal harmony. I do not say that we should not make any sacrifices. After all personal sacrifice is the essence of Islam. However, we should publicize our sacrifices. Unless we become vocal, no one will recognize our sacrifices. Unfortunately, muslims in India know only one way to be vocal and that is through petty violence and bhai-giri.

Bhai giri is what we do best,
i always believe we need to start working from the grassroot,
Education is one area where we are lacking the most,
but the eductaion at most part is such that we lack Deeni Knowledge,
we should start focusing of this aspect, schoools & colleges that not only give good knoweldge with regards to the worldly knowledge but also deeni knowledge
Insha Allah it will happen,
Sunni Dawate Islami has launched a School in this regard,
we should be ready to give time,
nothing will happen overnight, there will be obstacles, but Insha Allah we will win.

Asalaam-Alaikum,
Higher spiritual experience in all religions of the world aims at bridging the gulf between humans by imbuing them with high moral ideals. Bergson very rightly observes that 'a great mystic feels the truth flow into him from its source like a force in action. His desire is with God's help to complete the creation of the human species. The mystic's direction is the very direction of the elan of life'
The contribution of the Indian Sufis to society lies in their sincere and dedicated struggle to find a unity for the heterogeneous elements that make up its totality. They appreciated the multi-racial, multi-religious and multilingual pattern of Indian society and, to use Indian Scholar words, 'set at naught all differences of men, by the overflow of their consciousness of God'. For them God was not a logical abstraction of unity, but a living reality who can be approached through the service of mankind. Their efforts were, therefore, directed towards the creation of a healthy social order free from dissensions, discords and conflicts. It was a herculean task but they undertook it as a divine mission. In love, faith, toleration and sympathy they found the supreme talisman of human happiness. Shaikh Nizam-u'd-din Auliya often cited in his assemblies a remark of Shaikh Abu Sa'id Abul Khair (ob. 1049) that though there were myriads of routes and roads leading to God, none was quicker and more effective than bringing happiness to the hearts of men. Ibn Battuta found in Damascus a trust which existed for providing balm to afflicted hearts.
It would be vain and whimsical to think that they did not believe in their religious identity. While firmly adhering to the basic principles of their faith, they did not carry this difference to social relationships. Their toleration was the toleration of a spiritually powerful man who, while jealous of the frontiers of his own faith, admires other forms of thought and behaviour. When Shaikh Nizam-u'd-din Auliya saw Hindus bathing in the Jumna and singing devotional songs, he said,
" Every people have their own path, their own religion and centre of worship".
In India, the existence of cult & extremist group whether it is RSS/VHP/BJP/Shive Sena etc are the main cause of backwardness of Indian Economy or else China will be Next to India to Dominate future. Not to forget Indias richest man(Azeem Hashim Premji) is a Muslim ahead of Birla's, Tata's or Ambani's.
There is not a 1% difference among Shia's and Sunni's and There is difference among Hindu's and Muslim...that is mere political one. Coz Indian Muslim believes that Religion & Faith is personal belonging don't play trumpet with it. What a Christian Missionaries are doing is a lesson to be learned, they use a Strategy & Logic coz it gives the positive result. Force & Bhai giri always give Negative imapact.
No other religion offers the same rights and equality to both women and men as Islam does. Annie Besant wrote: "I often think that a woman is more free in Islam than in Christianity. In the Quran, the law about women is more just and liberal."
The Book "ISLAM," Wrote by George Bernard Shaw, "Islam is the best religion and Muslims are the worst followers". The reason we are fighting with each other and got the Scholars in Islam who's aim is not to propogates the true teaching of Quran and Sunnah but express the venom on other muslim group.
Islam was at the pinnacle of its power from the 8th to the 15th century AD when it ruled over Spain and, as many historians now acknowledge, Islamic civilisation became the cradle of European Renaissance and held the torch of medicine, science, arts and astronomy. It has been in slow decline since then and it probably reached its nadir on September 11. Muslims all over the world now seem to live in the past. Whether you ask them about the absence of democracy in the 55 Muslim countries in the world, or about what Islamic economics is, or about the status of women in Islam or the Islamic attitude towards fine arts and music, the only answer you get is: `Ah! What the Muslims (or the Muslim countries) are following is not Islam.'
Most of the problems that Muslims face in the 21st century have arisen from their ignorance of Islam and its true teachings. The first and foremost change should come in the way Islam is taught to the children. The teachers of Islam are themselves not very well educated or trained. In India, for example, no Muslim student deliberately chooses Islamic theology or Deenyat as a subject of study at degree level. He/she is forced to study it only after they have failed to qualify for admission in any other subject. Many become teachers of Deenyat after their matriculation, without adequate training.Every Muslim country is an entity in itself and it should not look to others for taqlid or emulation. The collapse of the last Caliphate in Turkey in 1924 was a turning point in Islamic history.
According to Michael Griffin, the author of an authoritative book on the Taliban, the Deo's School of Sunni thought in India alone "issued nearly a quarter of a million Fatwas on the minutiae of everyday life since the beginning of the 20th century"! The same applied to Barevi's as well.
If u analyse there was no differences among Muslims before except Sunni Vs Shias, But this century Sunni Broad division taken place thanks to British regime (Wahabis, Salafis, Ahle-Hadith, Tableeghi, Deo's, Sufis, Barelvees) Even each Groups classified in to sub-categories and then Sub Catogoies and so on Until the Individual opinion, What is Islam? Is it the religion which 21 million Wahabi Sunnis follow in Saudi Arabia? Is it the faith that 60 million Shias in Iran practise? Or is it the religion of 190 million Sunni Muslims of Indonesia, the biggest Muslim country in the world?. Or the Islam of India(Deobandis, Barelvees)?....Every Group Justifies there own and spitting a Venom on others..."Although Imam Khomeini(Shia Imam), the revolutionary Iranain leader, said in one of his sermons that these differences are superficial and not doctrinal and that members of both sects are Muslims first and last".
Sorry Brothers and Sister in Islam...The time is running out, We(Muslims) needs to Unite or else Islam Faiths will be Trespassed and more division will take place(Among Barelvees as well), Geographically Palestene was trespassed and comes to Iraq, In 21st Century All Middle East will be in Hands of West and still then we blame each other faith. Lets we put the Judgement be in hands of Allah(swt).
If you believe in Allah and that which We revealed unto Our slaves on the Day of Criterion (between right and wrong), the day when two armies met." [Qur'an 8:41]
