Salaam,
I dont think mushrooms are haram, i mean ... y would they be, they are plants grown from soil, not animal or insect?
I eat them regularly and all muslim restaurants provide them to ... i could be wrong tho

sum mushrooms are....they called magic mushrooms....it gives u a high..a form drug.....
it growson a certain montain.....be carefull....neva buy mushrooms off the street....

I thought that "magic mushrooms" was just a street name for a substance of drugs, i never knew that they were real mushrooms.

Most mushroom are halal.
The only ones you have to avoid are those that have a halucigenic effect ("magic mushrooms") those that are poisonous and a few that grow in filthy places. Sorry I don't know the names. But virtually all the mushrooms sold in shops can be safely eaten.

Assallamawalikum Sisters.
To my knowledge, mushrooms started sprouting at the time of Sayideena Musa Alayhis Salam. It is said if you drink water that has had mushrooms soaked in it-any ailment of the eye will get better.
I'm sorry sisters, i don't have the hadith to hand, but if anyone does-pls post it!
