Should muslim scholars/ Alims be allowed to enter into corrupt politics like that of the Asian Subcontinent and anywhere else in the world?

Muslim Ulama in Politics

Yes the GOOD, Ulama need to eradicate the corruption by being involved in Politics... As being outside the circle of politics would not help the Muslim Ummah at National or International levels....
As the Hadith states that a true believer is he who speaks out at a corrupt ruler... However if they get into Politics just to fill their own pockets then they should be removed from Politics by force if required....

But who will remove corrupt "ulemas" from the leadership?? the other politicians??
There is no such thing as an "honest politician" in the world today. There are many Mullahs who pretend to be true Muslims. Their acts do not support their words. What the REAL ulema must do is teach the young muslims males and females about the true Islamic Beliefs and basics about how to lead a good muslim life, despite all the resistance from so called "moderates". Getting involved in false politics would distract them from their real mission. The Ulema must do their job and lead muslims towards a revolution. We must work hard to restore the Khilaafat. Insha Allah, the day will come. Muslim world today is going through humiliation, but they are beginning to realize that their suffering will not go away until they come back towards Islam. Muslims have many, many enemies. We must fight them all. We must fight them mentally or phisically, whenever or where ever necessary, Insha Allah. We Must preach and spread Islam. We must preach the true Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), only following the Act of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) will lead us towards success, everything else is faliure.
The situation today in the Muslim world is SAD. And the Most Ulemaas are corrupt. Muslims are divided by temporary geographical boundries. Our goal must be ONE muslim state, NOT 50 or something.
If one says that we should wait for Imam Mehdi, or Hazrat Isaa to come back and help us, they are being IGNORANT. ALLAH is always here to help us. He has always been here, He is here, He will be here forever. We are just not asking for His help, We are turning towards Allah's enemies instead for help. THAT is the problem. We have given up on Islam. We must start an all out struggle now. Ulema's being in politics will not solve the problem. Look at Pakistan, MMA is in the National Assembly, but have they done anything?? NO. They are all hypocrites. More than half the country's so called "muslim population" is muslim by names only. And so is the case in every other Muslim country. May Allah help us all.
Politics is not the answer to our problems. Qur'aan, Hadith, and Sunna of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is.
Wassalaam.

I thought Khalafat was political ... I am sorry to say that Khalafat is not the answer, As history has shown that there were more bad Khalifahs than good ones... Politics can be purified after all that is the intention of all Khalafat thinkers.... The true Khalafat ended at the end of Khalafat of Imam Hassan (as) which lasted for 30 years...
What I was trying to explain is that we need to get the good Ulamas into politics so that they can help to create a way forward for Islamic Governments... then the Islamic Governments can get together to form a one whole Muslim Nation... First we must get one Nation at a time to become Islamic ... we must learn to walk first....
What I cannot understand is the way of the dreamers that think that they can have all the Muslim Nations to become One even before each and everyone follows Islamic Sharia .... We cannot become a one nation until all Muslim Countries Implement Islamic Law... So the first is, for our Ulamas to set a good example for us to follow... There is nothing wrong with that... After all who would be the Khalifah of an Islamic Nation... His first condition being that he has to be an Alim !...

OK. But unfortunately there seems to be so many Ulama especially from Pakistan, India and Bangladesh coming to settle in the UK. They come to find a JOB (Better Rozi) in one of the mosques in the UK.
Why dont these Ulama form a political party in their respective countries and fight the elections as a political party rather part of Peoples party or PML etc so they may gain overall power (control) of the country.
I think there has to be a better solution to this. Because there seems to be a different underlying problem which frankly many are not addressing. It is Inter party back-biting. I know more than him. He is not a good person because he is associated with so and so person.
Isnt this a major problem right in front of our eyes. How are the Ulamas and we following the Sunnah of the Prophet ( MAy peace and blessings of ALLAH be upon him and his family and his companions) when all the above is taking place daily.
Also is it true that you may only go to a Kufr country for 3 reasons. For education, for Medical purposes and to do Dawah to people who are born in that country and have no access to Islamic Knowledge?
Would any of the two brothers please enlighten me or correct me. May Allah T'alah forgive me for any mistakes I have made and if there has been any ignorance made towards the Messenger ( Rasulallah ). MAy Alllah give us all the taufeeq to learn as much as possible about our beloved Prophet and Islam. Ameen

Good Ulema never make it in politics. Our socities have been corrupted.
These are real Hard times for the Muslim world. Our enemies are within us pretending to be our friends. They are all out there to get us and to destroy Islam. But, Insha ALLAH Islam will live forever. Islam survived even when no body was with Porphet Muhammad (peace be upon him) except Allah. And now that there are more than a billion slaves of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), Islam will still live even if none comes to help the Deen. Ulema have failed Muslim Ummah. Just like in the time of Yazid Kaafir Pleed they failed Islam. But, Islam still lived, and became stronger than ever. We shouldn't wait for the Ulema to "form" a party and "win" elections. The struggle must start at the individual level. And it will get stronger. But the problem is, no body wants to take the lead. Therefore, all muslims are suffering. If one innocent muslim is being killed, others just turn their heads away and pretend to ignore.
I think the suffering of Muslim world will continue for about 50 to 100 years in the future, or maybe even 200 years. Only after utter and most horrible humiliation and suffering, will the Muslims learn. The suffering will continue till the day Muslims come back to Islam.
May Allah help us all.

assalamu alaykum.
I think that Brother Syed Hasnain Qadri sahib has made some good points and so has brother Muslim. However I agree with Syed Sahib! The ulama should try to clean politics or at least put pressure on the rulers to try to make them implement shariah...
As for the brother who criticised the MMA--brother of the 6 parties which make up the MMA, 3 are Deobandis, 1 is Ahle Hadith, one is Shia and only 1--the JUP is Sunni (led by Mawlana Ahmad Shah Noorani). Unfortunately, a lot of Sunni ulama have not helped Maulana Noorani even though he is a strict Sunni himself!
If all the Sunni ulama and mashaikh supported Noorani Sahib the Sunnis could form their own, powerful, Islamic party!
I think that until Hazrat Imam Mahdi alayhisalam appears we will not have khilafat again--that is also what is indicated by the hadiths eg the hadith that says that khilafat will be for 30 years only. (If you add the time of the first 4 khalifas and Hazrat Imam Hassan alayhisalam it equals exactly 30 years.) Huzoor Paak sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam then said that after that will be kings and then tyrants etc. until Imam Mahdi comes. Most ulama say we are living in the tyrants era....
I agree with brother Muslim's point that we all need to become better Muslims ourselves too...
