Saddam Hussain did kill many Muslims. The US supported him and made him what he was, but then he went for the US and they didn't like that. shows what power can do to a persons head.

Yes, he was a mass murderer. The US may have supplied him, but they didn't force him to gas all those kurds did they? He was also a particularly brutal tyrant, executing people who could have been perceived as a threat to his Ba'ath party. Many people just "disappeared".

So you mean Shias were killed for treason but Kurds were killed for no reason?
Shias deserved to die? Because they were involved in treason? treason against who? Those who raised their voices against a brutal dictator who was "murtad" who became COMMUNIST-STALINIST, and by all definitions he and his Baath party's communist ideology rejected God and the religion of God.....now is considered a treason?
He did not kill only 100. He killed 100s of thousands of both Kurds, Shia Arabs, even Sunni Arabs and EVEN HIS FAMILY AND FRIENDS.
He imposed two illegal wars against Iran and Kuwait and caused millions of deaths and destruction against both countries and in the process destroyed his own country and people too.
He supported Soviet Union's invasion of Afghanistan, because at that time he was a dog of commies..and the list goes on and on..

No, we can't take this position. Yazeed ibn Mu'awiya is "dead", but people curse him every day. Hitler is "dead", but that doesn't mean we can just be silent about his evil.
If we stay silent about Saddam, then what does this tell the world about Islam? That we don't condemn him just because he was a "Muslim"? Does this do justice to those thousands of people (Muslim + non-Muslims) who he killed? No. Evil people are evil people, and they come from all religions and races - including from within Muslims. It is important we don't cover up history.

hold ur horses!!! there is a difference between Saddam Hussain (syed)and Yazeed lanati... waise b it is between Allah Ta'ala and Saddam Hussain.. who are we to judge? its his deeds brother, not mine or yours.. so i think it is best to concentrate on ourselves than people who are not in this world... Allah behter jaanta hai "Allah hi Allah kia karo, Dukh na kisi ko diya karo ,Jo duniya ka malik hai naaam ussi ka liya karo " i rest my case! i dont want to argue
